The University of Alabama Student Health Center and Pharmacy

The UA Student Health Center and Pharmacy is committed to providing high quality health care to UA students in a private, confidential and professional manner.

The Student Health Center (SHC) & Pharmacy is designed to meet your healthcare needs. Our services include acute and chronic care, vaccinations, allergy shots, women’s health, nutrition therapy, psychiatry, substance abuse and foreign travel consultation. In addition to these services, the SHC has access to multi-specialty practice consultation and referral through University Medical Center. We also have an on-site pharmacy to conveniently meet the needs of our students' health.

Get your free flu shot for UA students, faculty, staff and retirees tomorrow during the last day of our Flu Shot Campaign! We’ll be at Smith Hall from 7:30am-10:00am.

With the holidays approaching, don’t forget about your prescriptions. The UA Student Health Center and Pharmacy can help. The SHCP is closed Nov. 27-Nov. 30, 2025, for the Thanksgiving holiday break and Dec. 22, 2025-Jan. 1, 2026, for the winter break.

Visit the UA Student Health Center and Pharmacy table at the Capstone Wellness Explorer Kickoff today from 5–8 p.m. in the Student Center to learn about the services available to students.

The Capstone Wellness Explorer is an engagement program that promotes student participation in events connected to the seven dimensions of wellness in the Alabama Model for Student Health and Wellbeing.

UA students and faculty can also get their free flu shot as well.
