The UA Student Health Center and Pharmacy is committed to providing high quality health care to UA students in a private, confidential and professional manner.

The Student Health Center (SHC) & Pharmacy is designed to meet your healthcare needs. Our services include acute and chronic care, vaccinations, allergy shots, women’s health, nutrition therapy, psychiatry, substance abuse and foreign travel consultation. In addition to these services, the SHC has access to multi-specialty practice consultation and referral through University Medical Center. We also have an on-site pharmacy to conveniently meet the needs of our students' health.

Just a reminder that the UA Student Health Center and Pharmacy will be closed during The University of Alabama Spring Break, March 14-22, 2026, and will reopen Monday, March 23, 2026, at 8am.

🌸 Spring is right around the corner and the UA Student Health Center and Pharmacy encourages students to check out the Allergy Clinic. Allergy injections are by appointment only after the student receives approval from a SHCP provider. For more information about the clinic and to schedule an appointment, call (205) 348-2778.

Walk-ins are always welcome at the UA Student Health Center and Pharmacy, but the center’s specialty services do require appointments - women’s health, psychiatry, nutrition, allergy and dermatology. No worries. Scheduling an appointment is easy. Just call the appointment phone number (205) 348-2778 or use the Patient Portal through MyBama.

Cold and flu symptoms can disrupt classes and daily routines. The UA Student Health Center and Pharmacy offers evaluation, treatment and preventive services to help students stay healthy throughout the semester.

Appointments are available, and walk-ins are welcome. Hours are Monday through Thursday from 8am-5pm and Friday from 9am-5pm. Call (205) 348-2778 for more information.

University Medical Center offers extended hours Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. for University of Alabama students. Appointments are not required. Walk-ins are welcome, and students have to be established Student Health Center and Pharmacy patients. Please enter through the University Medical Center main entrance and proceed to the Family Medicine Clinic.

After reviewing the most recent weather forecast, and with increased chances for icy road conditions, the UA Student Health Center and Pharmacy will close for the day on Monday, Jan. 26. Patients who had appointments on Jan. 26 will be contacted by the SHCP and their appointments will be rescheduled.

Due to extreme cold temperatures and the chance for icy road conditions, the UA Student Health Center and Pharmacy will open at 10am on Monday, Jan. 26. Patients with appointments before 10am will be contacted by the SHCP and their appointments will be rescheduled.

The UA Student Health Center and Pharmacy will be closed Monday, Jan. 19, 2026, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Normal operating hours will resume on Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2026.
