Another Friday, another 🎶 Music & Me 🎶 session at Capstone Village!

We absolutely love our special time with our next-door neighbors at the Child Development Center. There’s nothing sweeter than watching our residents and the toddlers connect through music, movement, and lots of smiles.

From singing familiar favorites to clapping along to the beat, these moments create meaningful connections across generations. 💛 Our residents look forward to this time each week, and the joy on everyone’s faces says it all.

Thank you to our wonderful friends at UA Child Development for sharing your energy and enthusiasm with us — we’re already counting down to next Friday! 🎵✨

🐾💛 Paws-itively the Best Day! 💛🐾

There’s nothing like a visit from our friends at Hand in Paw to brighten the day at Capstone Village!

We recently had the pleasure of welcoming sweet Jordan, a lovable chocolate Lab Mix — and she was an instant hit. 🐶✨ Our residents showered her with plenty of rubs, pats, and affection, and Jordan happily returned the love with tail wags and cuddles.

Moments like these are more than just heartwarming — they’re meaningful. Visits from Hand in Paw bring comfort, connection, and so many smiles to our community. We are truly thankful for this wonderful partnership and always look forward to each time they come through our doors. A special Thank you to Ms. Sherry Kimbro, Jordan's handler for bringing her to visit us.

🌶️🏆 We’re Bringing Home the Heat! 🏆🌶️

Capstone Village was proud to saddle up as a sponsor for the recent chili cook-off hosted by the Exchange Club of Tuscaloosa — and let’s just say… we brought the flavor! 🤠🔥

Our booth theme, “Legends of the Chili Trail,” featured full western flair, plenty of hometown spirit, and one legendary pot of chili crafted by our very own Chef Matt Lowery. Matt truly showed off a taste of the exceptional dining our residents enjoy every day at Capstone Village!

We’re thrilled to share that we took home 1st Place in the People’s Choice Award category! 🥇 That means the crowd voted — and our chili came out on top!

We were especially grateful to have so many of our wonderful residents and co-workers came out to support us. Seeing our Capstone Village family there cheering us on made the day even more special. The feedback from attendees was incredible — we heard again and again that ours was the best chili on the trail! 🌶️✨

This event was even more meaningful thanks to one of our own. Our resident, Bill Petty, is a member of the Exchange Club and invited us to join the cook-off — he even helped sponsor our booth! We are so thankful for Mr. Bill, his support, and the warm invitation to be part of such a wonderful community tradition.

Thank you to the Exchange Club of Tuscaloosa for hosting such a fantastic event. We loved being part of the fun and sharing a little taste of what makes dining at Capstone Village so exceptional.

💘 Love Was in the Air at Capstone Village! 💘

Friday, our residents celebrated Valentine’s Day with laughter, sweet memories, and a little friendly competition! ❤️

Residents teamed up at their tables to match famous couples throughout history — proving that true love stories really do stand the test of time. From classic romances to legendary partnerships, everyone had fun putting their knowledge to the test!

We also played a lively round of the “Not So Newlywed Game,” and congratulations are in order for Mr. and Mrs. Reynolds, our winning couple! 🏆 Their answers (and their smiles!) reminded us all that love only grows sweeter with time.

At Capstone Village, we cherish every opportunity to celebrate with our residents — especially their beautiful love stories that continue to inspire us every day. 💕

We felt the love a little early this year at Capstone Village! ❤️

Yesterday, the wonderful students from University of Alabama Child Development Center came next door to celebrate Valentine’s Day with our residents. They filled our halls with sweet songs, bright smiles, and the most thoughtful handmade valentines.

There is something so special about watching generations connect — laughter shared, little hands delivering cards, and hearts touched on both sides. Moments like these remind us why we cherish our relationship with our amazing neighbors at the Child Development Center.

Thank you to these precious students and their teachers for bringing so much joy to Capstone Village. We truly love our neighbors and treasure the memories we create together! 💌✨

Heart Month is officially underway at Capstone Village! ❤️👟

Our residents started the month strong with an outdoor walk around our Garden Homes community. It was a wonderful time of movement, fellowship, and enjoying the beauty of the day together.

Staying active is one of the best ways to support heart health, and we’re proud of our residents for stepping out and prioritizing wellness.

We are so thankful for our University of Alabama student volunteers who regularly spend time at Capstone Village helping our residents with technology! 💻❤️

From navigating smartphones and tablets to answering everyday tech questions, these students make such a difference in helping our residents stay connected and confident.

Pictured here is Peter Connolly, a freshman chemistry major at UA, who is one of the many wonderful students who give their time and patience to serve our community. We are so grateful for Peter and all of our UA volunteers who make these special visits possible!

It's Wednesday, but we’re still thinking about Mahjong Mondays at Capstone Village 🀄

Mahjong may be having a moment with younger generations, but for some of our residents, it’s nothing new 😉 They’ve been playing since they were kids—and they’re still sharp as ever around the table.

We’re still smiling about National Pizza Day yesterday! 🍕
Our lobby was filled with the smell of fresh pizza, laughter, and good company as residents enjoyed cheese and pepperoni slices with soft drinks. A simple treat, but a great afternoon at Capstone Village.
