🏈❤️ Crimson Kickoff at Capstone Village! ❤️🏈

Capstone Village is officially READY for Alabama Football — and we kicked off the season in style! 🎉🐘

Our annual Crimson Kickoff pep rally was held on our beautiful back porch and featured high-energy performances by the UA Pep Band, with special appearances from Big Al, the UA Cheerleaders, and the majorettes! 🎶🔥

Before the rally, residents had the chance to shop exclusive Bama gear at a pop-up UA Supe Store — just for them — making sure everyone was decked out in crimson and white!

It was a day full of spirit, music, laughter, and pride, and we’re more excited than ever for the season ahead. Let’s go, Bama! ROLL TIDE! 🐘🏈

Last week, Capstone Village hosted our Annual Talent Showcase — and what a show it was! 🌟

Our incredibly talented residents and staff took the stage to share their gifts, from singing and playing musical instruments to twirling flags and leading thought-provoking discussions. The creativity, courage, and joy on display made for an unforgettable afternoon!

With a full house, it was a true celebration of the vibrant community we’re proud to call home.

Thank you to everyone who performed, supported, and made this special event possible. The talent at Capstone Village is unmatched! 💫

♻️✨ Trash to Treasure Bingo was a hit at Capstone Village! ✨♻️

Our residents brought in gently used treasures from home — everything from plants and candy to household goodies — and then we played bingo for a chance to win a new-to-you prize! 🎁🎉

It was a fun-filled afternoon of laughter, friendly competition, and community spirit. What better way to recycle, declutter, and share with neighbors?

Everyone left with a smile (and maybe a new plant or two 🌿). We’re already looking forward to the next round!

Capstone Village was honored to take part in the Annual Caring Days Walk to Remember this past Saturday! 🧡👟

Our incredible residents and dedicated staff came together to support the amazing work of Caring Days Adult Daycare , walking side by side to raise awareness and funds for individuals and families affected by Alzheimer’s and other memory disorders. We're honored to support an organization that does so much for those living with memory loss in our area.

In addition to walking, we also hosted an information table to share more about the Memory Care services offered right here at Capstone Village. We’re proud to provide compassionate, specialized care for those navigating memory loss.

It was a meaningful day filled with compassion, connection, and community spirit.

Thank you to everyone who donated, walked, and cheered us on — together, we’re making a difference! 💜

🚌🎶 A Rockin’ Friday for Our Memory Care Residents!

Last Friday, our Memory Care residents enjoyed a meaningful and fun-filled trip to TCAT Cares, a weekly program hosted by The Church at Tuscaloosa for adults with memory-related diagnoses.

This week’s theme? All About Elvis! 💃🎤 From toe-tapping tunes and themed games to tasty snacks and even a service project — packing diaper kits for low-income families — our residents were fully engaged, heart and soul.

We’re so grateful for community partners like TCAT Cares who create such thoughtful and enriching experiences each week. It’s outings like these that make a big impact and bring lasting joy!

🎭🎶 The Stage is Set for Another Season of the Arts!

We had a fantastic time at our Annual Ticket Fair here at Capstone Village! Representatives from UA Theatre & Dance, Prentice Concert Chorale, The Actor's Charitable Theatre (ACT), Tuscaloosa Symphony Orchestra, Theatre Tuscaloosa, and the UA School of Music joined us to share their exciting upcoming seasons.

Our residents had the opportunity to purchase season passes or individual tickets — and Capstone Village will handle the transportation, so all they have to do is sit back, relax, and enjoy the show! 🎟️🚌

We are so grateful for our ongoing partnerships with these outstanding local arts organizations. These cultural experiences bring so much joy, enrichment, and community to our residents’ lives. Here's to a season full of music, theatre, and unforgettable memories! 🌟

Our Independent Living residents recently took a fantastic day trip to explore two iconic Alabama landmarks: The Alabama Music Hall of Fame and Ivy Green, the birthplace of Helen Keller.

From celebrating the legendary voices that shaped Southern music to walking the grounds where one of history’s most inspiring figures began her journey — it was a day full of learning, laughter, and meaningful moments. 🎤🌿
