Trash turned into treasures at Capstone Village! 🧡♻️

Our Independent Living residents recently teamed up with University of Alabama Business students for a fun and meaningful “Trash to Treasures” Bingo event—and it was a hit! Residents brought gently used items to use as bingo prizes, turning everyday “extras” into exciting new finds for friends and neighbors.

From laughter-filled rounds of bingo to the joy of swapping items and stories, this event was all about connection, creativity, and sustainability. It’s amazing what a little imagination (and a lot of community spirit!) can do.

A big thank you to our wonderful residents and our UA student partners for making this event so special. We can’t wait for the next round of fun!

A very special Easter celebration at Capstone Village 🐰🌸

Our memory care residents enjoyed a joyful day filled with smiles, sweet treats, and festive fun! We were so excited to welcome a special visit from the Easter Bunny, who helped make the day even more memorable.

Residents had a wonderful time participating in an egg hunt and getting creative with cookie decorating—there were plenty of laughs, bright colors, and delicious results to go around!

A heartfelt thank you to Monica McCracken with Amedisys Home Health for helping bring this celebration to life. Also special thanks to Ceres Garden Club for the beautiful gift bags they provided our residents. Moments like these mean so much to our residents and team. 💛

More spring planting 🌸🌿

Our assisted living residents have been soaking up the sunshine and getting their hands in the soil as they plant their beautiful courtyard flower beds! From vibrant blooms to fresh pops of color, their hard work is already bringing so much life and joy to our community.

Earlier this week, our memory care residents kicked off the season with their own planting activities, and it’s been wonderful to see everyone join in on the fun of welcoming spring.

There’s something special about gardening—it brings smiles, sparks memories, and creates a sense of pride as each flower bed begins to bloom. We can’t wait to watch them flourish right alongside our residents. 💚

Spring is in full bloom at Capstone Village 🌸🌿

Our memory care residents spent the morning planting beautiful flowers in pots and garden beds, loving the breeze and enjoying the fresh air. It was a wonderful time filled with smiles, laughter, and heartfelt reminiscing about seasons past and gardens they’ve loved.

Moments like these remind us how meaningful simple joys can be—the perfect weather, colorful blooms, and shared memories. 💐

There’s nothing our residents enjoy more than a great meal and great company—and a recent brunch outing to The Bright Star in Birmingham was no exception! 🍽️

The Bright Star never disappoints, and our residents had a wonderful time sharing laughs, stories, and delicious food together.

At Capstone Village, we’re proud to be the only retirement community in the Tuscaloosa area with dedicated drivers on staff—making it easy for our residents to get where they need (and want!) to go. Whether it’s medical appointments, supper club outings, trips to the grocery store or pharmacy, or even OLLI classes, we make staying active and engaged simple and enjoyable.

Experiences like this brunch outing are just one of the many ways our residents stay connected, social, and on the go. Where to next? 🚐✨

We had such a wonderful time celebrating our March birthdays at Capstone Village! 🎉 Residents enjoyed a sweet treat of apple cobbler and ice cream while sharing lots of laughs during a fun round of “This or That.”
