Our Story
Whatley Health Services, Inc. is a private, non-profit, community health center whose mission is to provide primary health care services to the medically underserved residents of West Alabama. Headquartered in West Tuscaloosa, the organization utilizes public and private funds to meet the challenges of a dynamic society.
We fulfill this mission through:
• Utilizing skilled, motivated professionals dedicated to providing health care services and addressing current health needs. • Improving access to primary health care for residents of West Alabama. • Serving the public with compassion, courtesy, accuracy, and efficiency while maintaining confidentiality. • Networking and working collaboratively with other health and human service providers. • Providing a "medical home" to the "at-risk" population.
Since its beginnings as the West Tuscaloosa Community Health Center, the name has changed, but the quality, caring, compassion and respect for the people we serve remain the same. We remain dedicated and committed to our mission and to the provision of health care for the residents of Tuscaloosa County and surrounding areas.
