University General Dentistry supports the More For Your Smile Campaign!

Did you know that Alabama ranks among one of the worst states when it comes to getting dental care? One major reasons for this is the cost of Dental Insurance in Alabama.

Dental Insurance companies are not legally required to put a certain percentage of premiums towards your dental care. This means the costs of premiums could be allocated to executive salaries or corporate profits rather than your care. So how does that affect you? This causes an incentive for insurance companies to delay or deny your coverage of a procedure. Therefore, patients are often left with no choice but to skip recommended dental procedures.

The surgeons at University Oral & Facial Surgery support the More For Your Smile Campaign. This is an initiative to ensure 85% of premiums go towards patient care. We believe in supporting a medical loss ratio that will allow patients to get their money back for unused funds.
