Meet Morgan—one of the compassionate hearts behind the care at ALCC. Her words say it best:

“No one fights alone.” Those words on my badge reel reflect the heart of who we are at ALCC.
We laugh together, cry together, and walk beside each person through every step of their unique healing journey.
At ALCC, we strive to create a space you look forward to coming to—a place where you’re always met with a warm smile and a shoulder to lean on when you need it most. You are never ‘just a patient’ here. You are family.”

Morgan lives these words every day—with each patient, each moment, each step. Her dedication reminds us all what it means to lead with heart.

At Alabama Cancer Care, our nurses bring more than medical care—they bring warmth, conversation, and connection.

Next in our Tuscaloosa nurse spotlight is Carla Compton, whose heart for her patients shines through every day. She shared:

“We love getting to know our patients by sharing life stories and experiences. We all pull each other through tough times and celebrate the good times! There are always snacks, a blanket, and good company while you are here with us!”

Carla reminds us that healing is about more than treatment—it’s about having a support system you can count on. Stay tuned as we continue spotlighting the nurses who make our mission possible.

Nurses Week may be over, but our appreciation is just getting started. 💙

At Alabama Cancer Care, we’re proud to recognize each of our incredible nurses—not just for the care they provide, but for the heart they bring to every patient’s journey.

First up is one of our Tuscaloosa nurses Brooke Miller Davis with a message that says it all:

“Honey, while you’re with us, we’re gonna laugh, chat about what we’re having for supper, and maybe even forget for a minute why you’re here. You’re not just our patient—you’re our person, and we’ve got you.”

Stay tuned as we continue spotlighting the nurses who make our mission possible—one smile, one story, one patient at a time. 💙

We had an incredible time at the 15th Annual Tuscaloosa’s Got Talent, presented by Drishti, at the historic Bama Theatre this weekend! Alabama Cancer Care was proud to sponsor the $1,000 Grand Prize, and it was such an honor to present the check to this year’s amazing winners — the talented dance group Nach Basanti!

Here’s some pictures from some of the talented performers who took the stage — the energy and creativity were truly something special!

The night was full of fun, including a lively auction featuring gifts and goodies from amazing local businesses. And the best part? All proceeds from the event go to support Oakdale Elementary!

We’re already looking forward to next year — so if you’ve got talent, it might be time to stage your practice sessions now!
