We are sad to announce that Jennifer’s last day at Skelton Chiropractic will be this Wednesday.

While we are sad to see her go, we appreciate all that she has meant to our practice. She has been with us since the beginning, working with Dr. Skelton since he graduated Chiropractic school.

We will all miss her and we wish her the best! If you’re able and you’d like to, stop in and wish her well tomorrow.

Dr. Mitchell was born and raised in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He is an avid sports fan, spending his childhood years playing baseball before transitioning into more extreme sports such as motocross and boxing. Dr. Mitchell always knew he wanted to pursue a career in the healthcare field, however; was not sure exactly what route he wanted to take. His decision was ultimately made for him after undergoing chiropractic care and finding relief from chronic sports injuries. His experience with chiropractic care opened his eyes to the amazing benefits that chiropractic can provide. Having a better understanding of how the body is designed and its ability to naturally heal itself when given a proper environment led Dr. Mitchel to pursue a career in Chiropractic.

Dr. Mitchell graduated from Life University with both a Bachelor of Science Degree, in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus in Psychology and a Doctor of Chiropractic Degree, with honors. During his time at Life University, he became proficient in several chiropractic techniques including: Diversified, Gonstead, Activator and Thompson.

On a personal note, Dr. Mitchell married his high school sweetheart Taylor and they have two children, Liam and Mila. Dr. Mitchell enjoys spending his free time with his family. His goal is to provide patients with the tools necessary to live a life that allows the body to function optimally and increase their overall quality of life.

Dr. Ott graduated Magna Cum Laude from Life University in 2002 with a doctorate in chiropractic. His previous undergraduate work was completed at UAB Walker College and The University of Alabama.

Eric grew up in Winfield, Alabama where he played football and developed his musical talent. He has played in many bands over the years as a guitarist and is currently the contemporary worship leader at Northport Baptist Church.

He has been married to his high school sweetheart Julie for 23 years. They have two children, Alex and Elaina. Alex is a graduate of Tuscaloosa County High School and Elaina is a current student and cheerleader at TCHS.

Dr. Ott has been practicing chiropractic in Tuscaloosa for 21 years. He is certified in pediatric and prenatal chiropractic and has also worked with high school athletic programs. However, he enjoys helping all people through chiropractic care.

Dr. Cary Skelton is a graduate of Life University School of Chiropractic, and he established Skelton Chiropractic Center in 2001. Dr. Skelton is a Tuscaloosa native. He graduated from Holt High School, where he met his wife, Carla Blaich Skelton. They have two children, Carson and Carly Grace, who both attend the University of Alabama. The Skeltons attend Capstone Church and enjoy being active in the Tuscaloosa and Northport communities.

Dr. Skelton first became interested in chiropractic after having low back issues as a teenager. He loved how chiropractic helped keep him, as well as his family, stay active and feeling well. Dr. Skelton's favorite part of practicing the last 23 years has been getting to know his patients. His goal is to treat every person that he sees like friends and family, rather than simply patients.

Skelton Chiropractic has been blessed with the best staff, doctors, and patients for all these years. We look forward to continuing to serve the community in the best way we can in the years to come.

Skelton Chiropractic Center is pleased to announce the addition of Courtney Crews to our practice!

Courtney is a graduate of Dayton School of Medical Massage and is licensed under the Ohio medical board, as well as the Alabama board of Massage Therapy. In addition to being a Medical LMT, Courtney also has certifications in prenatal massage, oncology massage, and receptor techniques focused on neck pain.

Courtney is committed to providing personalized care by tailoring treatments to address specific concerns of each individual client. She loves setting goals with clients and helping them achieve results!

When she’s not working, you can find her hiking and kayaking with her family and fur-babies.
