Fun (Radiology) Fact Friday 🖤

In 1898, X-rays were used to study an ancient Egyptian mummy.

Radiologists were able to see amulets and jewelry hidden within the wrappings, without disturbing the delicate linens that had been in place for thousands of years.

Seeing without unwrapping has been part of radiology from the very beginning.

This past Friday, Elle and some of our staff had an amazing time at the University of Alabama Women’s Gymnastics Power of Pink meet! 🩷 They spoke with fans about the vital importance of mammograms and early detection in the fight against breast cancer, while also passing out plenty of pink-themed goodies.

Walk-in screening mammograms are available at the Radiology Clinic Monday-Friday from 1-4pm.

No fancy equipment. No modern technology. Just a commitment to care, accuracy, and showing up for this community.

Decades later, the walls may have changed.
The technology has evolved.
But our purpose remains the same.

After 33 years, Joey Azbik is retiring from The Radiology Clinic.

What?! How could he?!

Just kidding, while we’ll truly miss him, we’re incredibly happy for Joey as he begins this next chapter. Joey was the 𝒇𝒊𝒓𝒔𝒕 𝒉𝒊𝒓𝒆 𝒊𝒏 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝑴𝑹𝑰 𝒅𝒆𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒉𝒆𝒍𝒑𝒆𝒅 𝒃𝒖𝒊𝒍𝒅 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒅 𝒊𝒕 𝒇𝒓𝒐𝒎 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚 𝒃𝒆𝒈𝒊𝒏𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈, a remarkable accomplishment and a testament to his dedication and expertise.
