Keller Landing's Trunk or Treat is fastly approaching and we need your help in making it a huge success for our residents. Keller Landing’s drive thru cheeseburger sliders were a hit with our residents! This is just one way that our activities department helps to bring joy to those that we choose to take care of. Seeing the smiles on our residents faces when they are able to still enjoy a quick drive thru treat makes all of our days brighter.

Keller Landing’s Employee for the month of July is……..

Mrs. Cassidy Beavers!

Cassidy Beavers joined our Keller Landing team as our Registered Dietitian in 2024. Since coming to work for our facility, Cassidy has shown that she is a great advocate for our residents and she has become a true asset to our facility.

Cassidy graduated from Mars Hill High School and attended The University of Alabama where she majored in food and nutrition and earned her Master’s Degree as a Dietitian. She has worked as a Registered Dietitian for the last eleven years, and the bulk of her job experience was in menu development for use with senior nutrition through programs such as Meals on Wheels. Cassidy’s reason for wanting to be a Registered Dietician is that the opportunity to work at a skilled nursing facility sounded like a great experience where she would have daily interactions with people who were eating meals that she helped to plan and she wanted to make a difference in the experiences that these meals brought to her patients.Cassidy says that it makes her happy when she is able to find something that someone likes to eat and she can get a plan in place for her patient, especially if that patient has had a history of weight loss and needs help with higher caloric intake for them to get better. She wants to be an advocate for the residents she cares for each day.

When Cassidy is not working, she loves spending time with her husband and their five year old son, cooking, kayaking and camping. The three of them are very close to their parents and grandparents and family is their top priority.She also loves animals and has a beagle and her family just got two goats that they are enjoying watching play and grow. Cassidy's goal for the future is to do what God has planned for her life. She wants to take care of her family and do the best with her career as she can. She really feels that God led her to the job and being able to work at Keller Landing has been wonderful.

This is just the beginning of Keller Landing’s Safe Resident Handling Training. Our goal is to take one day a week to work on refreshing our basic care skills. Each clinical staff will be checked off on these skills. This is just another way that we are providing the very best care for our residents. Keller Landing Cares❤️
