The Aromatouch Technique is Doterra's signature and proprietary method that is often compared to raindrop therapy. Developed by Dr. David K Hill, the AromaTouch Technique was created for use with certain Doterra essential oils in a safe, effective and unique way to promote a sense of overall well-being. By using a specific set of oils in a precise protocal, the AromaTouch technique focuses on four different areas: stress relief, immune enhancement, inflammatory response reduction, and homeostasis. Each session takes about 45 minutes, but may also be scheduled and fully completed in an half hour to accompany your 90 minute massage for the ultimate relaxation experience.
It is important to note that Doterra's essential oils are very pure and potent. This being said, please advise us of any allergies you may have at the time of scheduling. If you are worried I can test a small area before applying it to the entire back. If an allergic reaction or sensitivity has presented itself, that specific oil can be omitted from your session. Because of the precise protocal Dr. David Hill developed, no oils may be substituted during a full AromaTouch session. Grapeseed oil will be applied to the skin prior to any oils if you have a history of skin sensitivity or if you would simply like each oil to be slightly more diluted. It is good to also note that these sessions are very light in pressure and though they include techniques that may be found in a Swedish massage, it is not, nor does it include a massage, unless scheduled as an accompaniment.
Below is a list of each essential oil used to give you a better understanding of their natural healing properties.

Stress ReliefBalance- also known as Doterra's grounding blend, this EO has a "woody" aroma and evokes feelings of tranquility and balance, while promoting full-body relaxation. (Spruce, Ho Wood,Frankincense, Blue Tansy, and Blue Chamomile with Fractionated Coconut Oil)Lavender - One of the most widley known essential oils, lavender is extremely versatile. It is most known for its calming and relaxing properties that promote peaceful sleep and ease feelings of tension.
Immune EnhancementMelaleuca- more widely known as tea trea oil, melaleuca is best known for its purifying qualities, making it useful for promoting a healthy immune function. Melaleuca has also been known to soothe the skin due to occasional skin irritations.On-Guard- this blend provides a natural and effective alternative to healthy immune support. On-Guard protects against environmental and seasonal threats because it contains essential oils known for their positive effects on the immune system. It can also be very energizing and uplifting. (Wild Orange Peel, Clove Bud, Cinnamon Bark/Leaf, Eucalyptus Leaf, and Rosemary Leaf/Flower)Inflammatory Reduction ResponseAromaTouch- a vital part to the AromaTouch Technique, this proprietary blend provides comforting and relaxing effects while also assisting to reducing tension.(Cypress Plant, Peppermint Plant, Marjoram Leaf, Basil Leaf, Grapefruit Peel, Lavender Flower)Deep Blue- an enriching blend of oils that helps to soothe and cool. (Wintergreen, Camphor, Peppermint, Ylang Ylang, Helichrysum, Blue Tansy, Blue Chamomile, and Osmanthus)
Homeostasis (the property of a system in which a variable--i.e. its temperature--is actively regulated to remain very nearly constant)Peppermint- The high menthol content of Doterra's Peppermint essential oil sets it apart from others when it comes to quality. Peppermint is mainly used to help alleviate occasional stomach upset and promotes healthy respiratory function.Wild Orange- has multiple health benefits and an energizing aroma that can uplift the mind and body. Because it is made straight from orange peels, Wild Orange also contains powerful antioxidants that help to maintain overall health.

I was asked by a client why I enjoy my career as a massage therapist, and I explained that it's due to the rewarding experience of guiding individuals from states of sympathetic stress towards balance and providing them relief from persistent pains to enhance their overall well-being. I want to thank my clients for allowing me to help in my small way! ❤️

Regularly scheduled massage can be used as a tool for overall well-being! Read below to see some of the areas researchers have found massage profoundly helps.

Massage therapy from a licensed practitioner can:
1. Lower stress
The long-term effects of stress can take emotional and physical tolls. Massage therapy may relieve stress and conditions associated with it, such as tension headaches.
2. Increase immune function
Medical research indicates that massage therapy can help boost immune system strength by increasing the activity level of the body’s natural “killer T cells,” which fight off viruses.
3. Boost mental health and wellness Research suggests that symptoms of stress, anxiety and depression (all associated with mental health) may be greatly improved by massage therapy.
4. Manage pain
Pain can negatively affect a person’s quality of life and impede recovery from illness or injury. Recent findings highlight the role of massage in pain management.
5. Improve physical fitness
Massage can reduce muscle tension, improve exercise performance and prevent injuries.
