Meet Ranee, yet another rockstar at Horizon!

She keeps us organized and on track with our medical records, making sure charts are spotless, photos and documents are in place, and everything is ready for billing. She’s also our go-to HIPPA Liaison, aka the rule-keeper who makes sure we stay in line! On top of that, she helps with hospice intake, scheduling, and coordinating DME supplies so our patients get what they need, when they need it. Basically… she’s a multitasking queen who makes the magic happen behind the scenes!

When Ranee is out of the the office, she loves traveling with friends, celebrating with family whether it’s BBQ’s in the summer or cozy Christmas dinners in the winter. Most of all, she enjoys spending time with her son, daughter-in-law, and her sweet granddaughter. And let’s not forget her sidekick Stanley, a 9 year old pup who proudly wears the title of “spoiled rotten.”

We’re so lucky to have her on the Horizon team!

Employee Appreciation!!!

Rachell Yurivilca serves as Horizon Magic Valley’s Human Resource Manager and Payroll Specialist. In her three years at Horizon, she has mastered talent management, recruiting, onboarding, and developing a high-performing workforce. She has also expanded her portfolio to include accounts payable support and, most recently, coordination of our hospice volunteer program. She ensures every employee feels valued and heard!

Rachell draws daily motivation from her husband Andrew and her niece Daizy, who remind her that going above and beyond and loving hard, are the keys to a fulfilled life. When she’s off the clock, you’ll find her soaking up sunshine on the beaches of Cancún, lost in a good book, or enjoying quality time with family.

Whether she’s streamlining HR processes, fine-tuning payroll systems, or rallying volunteers for a meaningful cause, Rachell brings the same blend of expertise, empathy, and enthusiasm to every role she takes on. We are SO lucky to have her on our team!

When Maddie Reed’s parents, Catherine and Stan, could no longer safely live at home, she and her siblings faced a difficult decision.

Her mother’s Alzheimer’s was progressing, and the risks of falls, missed meals, or accidents grew too great. Maddie recalls:

“You cannot, unless you’re a professional, give them the care that they need. I know they would neither probably even be alive without a place like this.”

By moving her parents into a senior living community with both assisted living and memory care, Maddie found peace of mind. Her father could still visit her mother daily, while her mother received the specialized care she needed.

This story reminds us that senior living communities aren’t just facilities - they’re lifelines. They provide safety, dignity, and compassion at the most vulnerable times in life.

👉 Here’s what you can do: Reach out to your Idaho lawmakers by September 26 and tell them: Don’t cut Medicaid funding. Protect care in your community. Let senior living, memory care, and home health services continue without disruption.
