Get to know our amazing pelvic health and orthopedic physical therapy assistant ASHLEY! She works as a team with all of our Pelvic Health Providers!

💫She enjoys travel, hearing others’ travel stories, and receiving recommendations.

💫She has completed two (almost three) half marathons and has learned—through competing in college and now recreationally—that any speed makes someone a runner.

💫She loves spending time with her fiancé Braden and her energetic lab, Reddick, whether outdoors or relaxing on a lazy Sunday.

💫Her sisters are the best built-in best friends she could ask for!

💫She is passionate about helping people return to the activities they love and empowering movement—whether it’s something they could do yesterday or years ago.

If you work with her, you’re in for a treat— She is so talented, passionate, and caring!💗

PELVIC PAIN. 💜
One of the most common diagnoses that we treat in the pelvic health world is “pelvic pain.” But this phrase covers a huge variety of symptoms and dysfunction. Read through the slides to learn more and decided if pelvic health PT is something you would benefit from.

We are here for you.💕

Raise your hand if that initial bowel movement after birth has scared you🙋‍♀️🙋‍♀️🙋‍♀️

There is so much we can do to help with bowel function, whether it is after birth or simply daily struggles with constipation.

1) Hydrate up! This is the best thing to help anyone, anywhere with bowel movements.

2) Take those stool softeners to help!

3) Set your body positioning up for success by elevating your feet on a stool or squatty potty. This will relax and lengthen your pelvic floor to allow for easier passage.

4) DON’T forget to breathe! Avoid “bearing down” or straining with held breath. Our goal is to relax and keep that airflow going during bowel movements.

5) Support can be a huge advantage. It can be helpful to use a hand or towel at the perineal region after a vaginal birth or at the abdomen after a C-section help support the regions.

YOU CAN DO THIS!
We can help you with even more helpful options in clinic. Come see us with any questions!💕
