The ProActive Youth and Family Support Center is designed to fulfill the need for youth-focused crisis services for youth experiencing a mental health or substance abuse crisis. Youth and their families may walk in anytime. Services available include short-term crisis interventions with connections to resources in the community for long-term support. Primarily, but not limited to:
Food, shelter
and support in a nurturing, trauma-focused, youth-centered environment. Mental health, medical and substance abuse screenings. Crisis stabilization and de-escalation for mental health and substance abuse crisis that includes individual crisis counseling. Youth Peer Support Specialists. These are special people who understand what you are going through because they too have dealt with mental illness and/or substance abuse in their own life experiences. Peers engage and support you throughout your stay to help you feel comfortable and identify what you need to keep safe and healthy. Psycho-educational, skill building and prevention resources for youth and family. A treatment plan at discharge that is focused on your unique needs and circumstances. Case Management Services to help connect you and your family with resources in the community.
