Keep going. Be patient.

Realistic expectations...they’re not so realistic anymore. Not only has society’s attention span diminished, but so has our patience and expectations for fast fixes and quick results. Even though you’re often working to undo YEARS of bad habits, you expect it all to disappear in a couple weeks…sound familiar?🤨

Here’s the dealio: you can and WILL lose the belly fat, or the extra junk in your trunk or the thunder in your thighs, but you have to be REALSTIC in your expectations and time commitment…especially since those areas are usually the LAST place where you will see the changes.🤪

Overworking your body (too much exercise), starving your body or trying to focus only on your problem areas (spot-reduction) won’t work. Developing consistent exercise and nutrition practices WILL! Stay real, stay consistent and you’ll stay happy.😊👊🏻💙

Spoiler alert…it doesn’t matter how much money you spend on pills, powders, HRT, GLP’s or peptides. If you’re not consistently working out and eating well, you’re wasting your money on everything else.🤷🏻‍♂️

Think of it like three points on a triangle…Fitness, Nutrition, Optimization. The right and left points at the base are Fitness and Nutrition, with the top point Optimization. This means you have to have the first two before the third comes together. I call it the Triangle of Health.😁

There is a place for all the things that can create an optimal you, but only if you’re willing to put in the work that goes with it. If anyone says it’s the other way around and something will do the work for you, then that should be an instant red flag. You still gotta put the effort in, but I promise you, IT’S WORTH IT!👊🏼💙🤘🏼

If you have been trying (and struggling) to plan for an entire week, it’s time to simplify. Here are a few tips to make meal planning more manageable:

1. Start with ONE Day.

Instead of tackling a whole week, start with just one day. Plan breakfast, lunch, and dinner for tomorrow. This way, you’re easing into meal planning without feeling overwhelmed. Once you get comfortable, you can build up to a few days or even a week.

2. Choose Recipes You Know and Love.

Skip the fancy, multi-step recipes if you’re feeling stressed. Stick to meals you’ve made before or ones with minimal ingredients. Think: spaghetti and marinara, grilled chicken with roasted veggies, or a hearty salad with your favorite protein. Familiar recipes save time and mental energy.

3. Batch Cook One Item.

Pick one staple to cook in bulk, like rice, roasted veggies, or shredded chicken. Having a prepped ingredient in the fridge gives you flexibility throughout the week and takes the pressure off planning every single meal.

Meal planning doesn’t have to be perfect or elaborate—it just needs to work for you. Start small, build your confidence, and let it grow naturally. Before you know it, you’ll have a system that fits your life (and keeps your stress at bay).

Meet the Team of MEP Meals - Twin Falls!

As we step into our 3rd year of business, I wanted to take a moment to reintroduce ourselves and give you a glimpse into the team behind MEP Meals!

Let’s start with David, my husband and our amazing chef. He’s the one creating all the delicious meals that make MEP Meals what it is. From planning the recipes to prepping and cooking, he’s the magic in the kitchen. David also takes care of delivering your meals, so when you see him, you’re looking at the man who does it all

As for me, I’m Tana! I handle all the behind-the-scenes action, from organizing orders and managing our social media to keeping the operation running smoothly. We both love fitness and a healthy lifestyle—it’s not just a passion; it’s part of who we are. You’ll usually find us in athletic clothes, whether we’re working, homeschooling our kids, or squeezing in a workout.
