I would like to thank the community, my family and friends for ther loving support over the 20 years I dedicated to serve in funeral and cremation services.

Your support enabled me to build my dreams and bring my business and personal aspirations to fruition. l am forever grateful for that. Giving me the opportunity to serve my community and be a stay at home mother at the same time.

I raised my four beautiful chidren in the funeral home at Serenity Funeral Chapel. It was our home and sanctuary of love for 16 years.

2020 through 2024 we endured significant losses: my best friend and intellectual soulmate, both grandmothers, my father and my aunt, 7 beloved pets, and my oldest left for college.

During this time, my health took a turn for the worse and for 4 years, we have been chasing a systemic illness. My children needed me full time and my health interfered with performing my work to the best of my ability.

Russ Mikel, a very kind mortician from Wood River Chapel took over when I was too ill to work and eventually took over all operations of the business this past year. Far more than one person should have to handle. COVID fostered severe burnouts in the funeral industry and we lost a lot of good death care workers.

I was put in a position to make a very difficult decision to retire my career. I needed to take the weight off my shoulders and to be a full time mother to my children. That is what I did.

We are happy, my health is improving, and we are starting over in a new place. I spent most of my fifty years in Twin Falls County and it was a difficult decision to leave, but it was the right one for my family.

I am eternally grateful for everyone who stepped up and helped me out when I was too ill to take care of my client families and my own.

In August, I partnered with Wilks Family Funeral Home in Twin Falls, formerly Parkes.

The funeral family at Wilks are a team of skilled professionals. They provide the utmost compassion in serving their clients, and now in serving mine. I trained a young high school student as a mortician resident trainee a few years back. He is a local young man from a small town. I was raised in the same communities as his family. He has a passion for serving families as I do.

If you find yourself in need of burial or cremation services, he'll be able to carry on the legacy that I built, through Wilks. I am very proud of where he has gone in his career and I know he will provide the utmost care to my client families. Ask for Andrew Goodwin.

I have listed the funeral home for sale. If I find a buyer, Serenity Funeral Chapel will carry on, if not, Wilks will continue to take care of my client families, pre need and at need. There is no need for concern over pre paid funerals. They are transferable, and only paid to the funeral home who actually performs the contracted services. WIlks has graciously offered to honor my previous contracts.

If you have questions or concerns, please call Wilks at (208) 733-0991. If you would like to speak to me personally, let them know and they can get in contact with me.

Again, thank you for giving me the ability to live a life of servitude, and to raise my children as a stay at home mom. And yes, I'm now living like a tween spending all of my time with my children, discovering AI gothic mode on Snapchat, this is awesome, the best anti aging app i've seen lol, learning a new language like "level ten gyot" "bruh" "womp womp, cry about it" I think I will fit in perfect in this new lifestyle. I've always been a kid at heart.

I will miss you my friends and never forget the ones who were kind to us over the years.

Battling the corrupt local government and the lack of ethics from competitors, I won't miss that at all.

I'm always here offering an ear and virtual hug if you need it. I'm somewhere, out where the wild things are.......

THANK YOU FOR 20 YEARS!!!
