Did you know we offer private yoga sessions here at the studio?

Whether you are brand new to yoga, wanting a deeper understanding of postures or energetics, recovering from injury, or working with a specific issue in the body, a private session allows us to tailor a practice specifically for you.

Private sessions are incredibly supportive for all levels and are a beautiful way to deepen your relationship and understanding of the practice.

Pieces of a Gentle Yoga Practice…

In today’s class we used our strap around the arms and hips as a stability tool for standing balance.

The strap gives the body something to push into, which wakes up muscles that often stay passive during standing balance work.

The strap used in this way helps improve body awareness. The prop provides tactile feedback, making it more effective to find alignment.

This is also a great way to improve shoulder stability. Pressing outward into the strap activates your deltoids, rotator cuff muscles and upper back.

The strap helps to prevent collapsing into joints and builds neuromuscular patterns for other poses.

This practice helps students feel more stable and organized in their postures.
