Happy Sunday morning everyone! This last Friday I traveled over to Arlington to meet with a Reiki Master and LMT by the name of Tara and she is amazing. She has been the one to help me learn this new practice and I am now excited to be able to share and offer it to you guys! So with that being said I will now be offering Reiki within my practice. This can be a session all on its own or added into or onto your massage. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out.

I will be running a special through the end of August for a 30min session it will be $30 dollars. Then come September it will be $45/30mins🫶🏻

I'm so beyond excited to start this journey with you. It is not up and published on my website yet but will be by the end of the week.

It is Muscle Monday and today we are talking about one of the biggest muscles in our back and that is the Trapezius. This muscle originates on the external occipital protuberance, medial portion of superior nuchal line of the occiput, ligamentum nuchae and the spinous processes of C7-T12. Then it comes out and inserts onto the lateral one-third of the clavicle, acromion and spine of scapula. This muscle is amazing just in its size and everywhere it inserts and originates causing it to have so much affect of what actions the scapula, head and neck. The main action of this muscle is extension of the head and neck. But it also laterally flexes the head and neck to the same side, rotates the head and neck to the opposite side, elevates the scapula, upwardly rotates the scapula, adducts the scapula and depresses the scapula. When this muscle is strained or hurting it is usually due to overuse or lifting to heavy. Anyone and everyone could almost benefit from this muscle being worked on. It is by farm one of my most favorite muscles for everything that it contributes to the back and neck.
