Today, many communities across the country are pausing for a national shutdown. Our office is already closed on Fridays, but this moment feels worth naming.
We’re grateful to live in a community where so many local businesses and organizations are pausing to reflect, to stand for safety, and to affirm the dignity and humanity of all people. This is not political, it’s humanitarian. It’s about choosing care over fear, connection over division, and community over isolation.
The Methow Valley has always been a place where neighbors show up for one another. In a rural community like ours, we depend on each other. That interdependence is what makes this valley a place where people can belong and feel safe.
We know that times like these can feel heavy and uncertain. And we also know this: when we lead with compassion and courage, our community becomes stronger.
Thank you for being part of a valley that looks out for one another. 💛🩵
