Tybee Island Ocean Rescue TIFR Ocean Rescue is on the beach May-October each year, only during daylight hours. Please call 911 in any emergency!

If you swim outside the season, or outside these hours in-season, please be aware you are swimming at your own risk.

Tybee is under a Coastal Flood Advisory with up to one half foot of inundation above ground level along shorelines and tidal waterways (9.5 to 9.7 feet Mean Lower Low Water at Fort Pulaski).

We also have a High Rip Current Risk with dangerous rip currents possible. Lifeguards are flying RED flags.
