Tye Family Care, PLLC was established in 2013 by Nicole Celeste Votaw, RN, FNP-C. After being in the nursing profession for almost 20 years, Ms. Votaw identified a need in rural Tye, TX, and has taken great effort to meet the need for a general healthcare facility in the area. With a lot of prayer, many volunteers, and countless hours of planning and implementing, the office is almost ready. Our office will be closed and both Celeste and Jessie will be completely out of pocket from May 29-June 8. If you will need refills during that time, please get your request in early enough that we can take care of it ahead of this closure. Any messages left in our absence will be returned when we are back in office on the 8th. If you have an issue that cannot wait until we are back in office, please go to an urgent care or emergency room if the situation prompts.

Our office is closed today in observance of Memorial Day. Today we remember those who served, those who sacrificed, those who never came home. The immense amount of gratitude we feel for those who made the ultimate sacrifice cannot be put into words.

Happy Thursday!
We just wanted to let everyone know that our most recent software update included a setting change on patient statements. It has come to our attention that this last batch of statements included all accounts regardless of account age. If you received a bill and have a question, please call us and we will get it sorted out.

Friendly reminder:
Due to the nature of a small office, our phones are answered by an automated service. When calling our office you will have to leave a message, and we will return your call within 1 business day. If you do not receive a call back it is possible your phone call was not received, as our phone service is Internet based. Other very common reasons that you may not receive a return phone call is that there was no identifying information left, or a return phone number, in which case we cannot call you back. We know this is an inconvenience and we so appreciate all of our patients! We do receive text messages now as well, so feel free to send a follow up text (but make sure you say who you are!)

Our office will be closed for administrative purposes from 02/25/2026-03/02/2026. We will return to office on Tuesday March 3rd. We will be unavailable while we are gone, however, we have a colleague covering for us while we are out. If you are sick, or have a matter that cannot wait until next week, please call our friend Kelli Pritchard, FNP-C with The Lamp Family Health. Her phone number is 325-261-0150. She is kind, professional, and can come straight to you! We are thankful for Kelli's help and thrilled to support her small business!

Merkel ISD has made the decision to close, but our office has decided to open for a full day tomorrow. If you are on the schedule, you should have received a text message reminder this evening. We are willing to work with each patient according to their comfort level with driving. If you wish to reschedule, please reach out and we are happy to adjust your appointments. If not, we will see you bright and early in the morning!

Merkel ISD has made the decision to close for tomorrow 1/28/2026. After careful consideration, we have decided to attempt to reopen after lunch tomorrow. We understand the incredible inconvenience this has been to our patients. We also know the extreme danger the icy conditions pose, and do not want anyone on the roads unnecessarily. At the same time, we understand there are some things that cannot wait. If you have a need that cannot wait, please call us. We will be checking messages throughout the morning. If you do not want to attempt to come in, we will certainly reschedule.
