This time of year, The Rose is usually filled with laughter, warmth, and holiday cheer. This year feels a little heavier.

Although we are trained to do what we love, we still grieve the loss of residents who became family to us. The Rose has experienced tremendous loss this year, and with it came a deep reminder of the beautiful souls we had the privilege to care for—and the families who trusted us to love them well.

Christmas looks a little different this year, but our hearts remain the same.

As staff sat together, sharing memories of those who have passed, our spirits were lifted. We were reminded that each life touched here is still deeply connected to their families and friends—and forever connected to us.

Though our hearts grieve, we are reminded that God has set us apart for a great work. This is why families bring their loved ones to The Rose—for connection that feels like family—and we remain grateful to walk in that calling.

There’s something really special about being part of a neighborhood for years—about knowing faces, sharing waves, and showing up for one another in small but meaningful ways. 🤍

At The Rose, that sense of community has always mattered to us. We aren’t just a place of care tucked away behind a door—we’re neighbors. And that’s why one of our favorite traditions is sharing homemade desserts with the people around us.

At The Rose, our residents may live with us, but the heart of home still lives in every holiday we celebrate together. The smells, the recipes, the laughter, the traditions — none of that stops at our doors.

During the holidays, we don’t just serve meals…

The Rose Residential Care Home is located in Tyler TX in a community that feels like home with nearby easy access to shopping, attractions and a short distance from area hospitals. We serve the elderly who can no longer live in their own home but still wish to live in an environment that feels like home. Unlike the big box assisted living facilities we offer 24 hour personalized care with a caregiver to resident ratio of 1 to 6. Care is provided 24 hrs with experienced Caregivers on duty to help with any needs. Our main focus is to make all residents feel as if they never left their own home by still giving them a voice and say so on what happens inside of the home. We plan to go on monthly field trips, volunteer in and outside of the home, have each resident actively involved in their care and overall well-being, celebrate milestones, participate in holiday activities and party like rock stars for birthday’s.
