Hosting birth classes with ETX Doula Collective is one of my favorite parts of this work. Getting to educate moms, dads, and the whole birth team about pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum is such an honor.
We talk about how the body was beautifully designed for birth, what the hormones are doing, how partners can truly support, and what options families have along the way. We practice comfort measures, learn about positions, talk through real scenarios, and build confidence before the big day.

✨️Your body didn’t just grow a baby.
It grew an entire organ to sustain that life.👏
The placenta acts as baby’s lungs, kidneys, digestive system, and nutrient supply for the entire pregnancy. Oxygen, nutrients, hormones, and protection all flowing through one incredible organ.
And after baby is born, the placenta completes its work and is born too.
Birth is powerful. The placenta is proof. ❤️

When early labor starts, it’s often mild and can last quite a while.
If someone gets mentally locked in on every sensation too early, they burn energy and focus when they really need to pace themselves.

Ignoring early labor doesn’t mean you don’t care it’s about preserving your stamina and avoiding unnecessary stress.

When you rest, distract yourself, or go about your day during early labor, you arrive at active labor feeling fresher and more ready to handle the real intensity.

It’s like running a marathon,
you don’t sprint at the starting line.
