Yesterday, Dr. English had the honor of speaking on a panel for ACHE alongside an incredible group of East Texas health leaders:

Together, they explored the most pressing health issues facing East Texas and emphasized how collaboration—not competition—is what truly moves the needle.

💙 Meet Beverly — A Story of Strength and Second Chances

When Beverly Faulks first heard about Bethesda through Christian Women's Job Corps-Tyler, she had just walked through one of the hardest chapters of her life. After suffering a stroke, she began putting her own health first — starting with her smile.

“I have a child with autism. He’s 25 now, thank God, but I’ve learned I have to take care of myself, too,” she shared.

Beverly came to Bethesda for dental care and immediately felt at home. “It’s a friendly atmosphere. They give you the price upfront, let you know what to expect, and the dentist is awesome! Everyone is so professional and kind — even early in the morning when I’m not a morning person!”

She’s currently working with our dental team on partial dentures and loves being part of the process. “They even brought out samples for me to see — that’s awesome!”

As a volunteer at Christian Women’s Job Corps, Beverly is paying forward the kindness she’s received. “I’m taking it little by little,” she says, smiling. “Bethesda makes it possible for people like me to get the care we need. If it weren’t for them, I’d be lost.”

This Veterans Day, we pause to honor the brave men and women who have served our country—and we’re especially proud to recognize the veterans who are part of our own Bethesda family.
