Four-year-old Alejandro came to Bethesda Pediatrics with a big smile and some very painful teeth. 💔
His mom found us through Tyler ISD Head Start and, like so many families, was searching for affordable care she could trust.

Because of Bethesda—and because of YOU—Alejandro no longer has tooth pain. He’s almost finished with his treatment, proudly sits still in the chair, and even leaves excited with his goodie bag after each visit. 🦷✨

His mom shared:

“It’s been a lot of help. None of his teeth hurt anymore… I’m glad there are good people in our community who keep donating to Bethesda to support more families.”

She noticed something else, too: new dental chairs.

Those chairs mean better care, more comfort, and more kids like Alejandro getting the treatment they deserve—regardless of insurance or income.

⭐ Board Spotlight: Kay Latta ⭐

What a star we have with Kay Latta!

Kay has served on Bethesda’s Board of Directors for nearly six years and currently serves as Board Treasurer. Long before she took a seat at the table, her husband was already a volunteer dentist and they both loved and appreciated the mission.

When asked what inspired her to say yes to board service, Kay is refreshingly honest: she already knew the impact Bethesda had for people who just needed a little break—and then Shannon Dacus asked. (Sometimes the best leadership recruitment strategy really is friendship and a good nudge. 😉)

What Kay loves most about Bethesda is the way the mission comes to life through teamwork and faith. She sees it as nothing short of a miracle—people using their God-given strengths in different ways, all working together to accomplish far more than any one person could alone.

Kay is a lifelong Tylerite and a former Apache Belle—meaning she’s witnessed many seasons of change in this city. She’s incredibly proud of Tyler and energized by the exciting future she sees unfolding, especially when it comes to caring for neighbors and strengthening families through access to compassionate healthcare.

We love Kay and are so grateful for her service to Bethesda!

💙 Patient Story | Meet Clara 💙

Clara first heard about Bethesda from friends—and then started seeing our posts on Facebook. (Yes, Facebook for the win. 👏)

Clara works as a custodian at a local school and lives in Van. She’s been managing hypothyroidism for years, but at her previous clinic she felt overlooked. Her condition wasn’t monitored regularly, visits were expensive, and every prescription refill came with another consultation fee—and a whole lot of anxiety.

Then Clara switched to Bethesda.

“As soon as I switched clinics, I felt the change immediately. The doctors took more interest in my overall health—not just my condition. They took more interest in me.”

⭐Meet Our Board: Jennifer Bailey⭐

Jennifer Bailey brings both a professional lens and a passion for serving others to Bethesda Health Clinic. As Vice President of Marketing and Community Outreach at , Jennifer has seen firsthand how powerful stories can move a community, and we have plenty of those at Bethesda!

As a valued ministry partner of KVNE, Bethesda’s work is especially meaningful to Jennifer because she witnesses its impact beyond reports and numbers. She sees it in families finding hope, patients receiving compassionate care, and lives changing in quiet but profound ways.

Jennifer has faithfully served on Bethesda’s board for the past five years, offering insight, encouragement, and a steady commitment to the mission. She believes Bethesda is more than a clinic, but a place where people find hope and the love of Christ.
