Congratulations to Lee Gibson, CEO of Southside Bank and the current Board Chair of Bethesda Clinic! 👏

Southside Bank CEO Lee Gibson was awarded the 2025 Distinguished Citizen Good Turn Award by the Boy Scouts of America®, East Texas Area Council.

Lee Gibson began his career with Southside Bank 41 years ago and has served as Chief Executive Officer since 2017.

Deeply committed to his community, Lee previously served as President for the East Texas Area Council, Boy Scouts of America, and currently serves on several other community boards.

🌟 Savannah Update! 🌟

We wanted to share some wonderful news about our patient, Savannah. She’s been doing amazing — no major side effects, just a little low energy (which she handles with such grace and strength!).

Savannah starts her final round of chemo on Monday, and her most recent MRI in early October was completely clear! 🙌

If her next MRI in December is clear too, she’ll get to ring her bell on December 8th — marking the end of her treatment and the beginning of a new chapter filled with hope. 💛

A huge thank you to everyone who has helped Savannah along her journey — your prayers, encouragement, and care have meant the world. 💕

Today we recognize our medical assistants for the vital role they play in delivering quality care at Bethesda Health Clinic.

They keep our clinics running efficiently — taking vitals, managing patient flow, assisting providers, and ensuring every patient receives excellent care from start to finish.

We’re grateful for their dedication and professionalism. Thank you to all our MAs for the work you do to support our mission and serve our patients!

💙 “God got us here to meet Bethesda.”

Sometimes people come to Bethesda not just for healthcare, but for help navigating life’s hardest challenges.

That was true for Timothy Sparks and his wife, who had been living in a tent at Tyler State Park for more than a year after losing their home in Alabama.

At 70 years old, his wife was battling her own health issues. Timothy had lost his job because of illness, and with no steady income, they had nowhere else to go.

When they walked through Bethesda’s doors, they met our social worker, Elizabeth—who listened, cared, and acted. She connected them with a disability specialist, housing resources, and personally made phone calls on their behalf.

Then came the breakthrough: a local apartment manager made an exception and moved them up the waiting list. 🙌

Now, after so many months of uncertainty, the couple will have a safe place to call home.

Timothy shared:

“God got us here to meet Bethesda. He lined up everything so we could have your help to grow and have a better life… you were truly a blessing.”

And his wife added:

“It’s like being with family here—it’s just wonderful.”

Bethesda is more than a clinic. 💙
