SUCCESS STORY from Highland Park Manor. “This place is where I knew I wanted to be. Everyone is very nice; I have lots of friends here. I had to come here about a year ago for rehab, then I went home with my sister. Home life got too hard so my sister and I had to move out. I went to another facility, but I hated it there, I told them I wanted to come back to Highland Park. So, I came back here for therapy and now I can walk everywhere again like I could before. They will really get you back on your feet you know. I’m thankful for this place from top to bottom it’s great. Thank you, Highland Park!”-Mable B.

SUCCESS STORY from Ranchwood Nursing Center. My name is Lee St John, I'm not much on words and I don't talk much. I worked for myself in the oilfield under St John Forklift Service. I retired from the oilfield after my wife retired and I took over her job as manager of a retirement village and retired for good when the complex was sold. I guess I was sick for several months and didn't even know. I was in the hospital for two and a half months and don't even remember being there. I was then brought to Ranchwood Nursing Center — I couldn't even get up out of a chair when I arrived!

With the hard work, pushing, and encouragement from Ali and Cory and the rest of the therapy staff, I am going home after 21 days of therapy! Because of their work and help to keep me going.
I don't know what else to say or do to thank them both enough for helping save my life. God bless them both.

Rachel is always the first person to work and making sure all the residents are taken care of. She goes above and beyond making sure they feel comfortable and have everything they need. If they don’t have clothes yet she will go to laundry and make sure to get them dressed and ready. Rachel is always willing to help with tasks that are not even assigned to her building including: taking out trash, filling water pitchers, passing trays, and communicating with fellow staff on patients needs. Rachel has been at Garnet Hill for 14 years and has shown true dedication and passion in her career even starting as a COTA and going back to become an OTR. She works extremely hard and is a true team player. Rachel deserves recognition for her outstanding character and dedication to the healthcare profession. Congratulations Rachel!

Garnet Hill Rehabilitation and Skilled Care popsicle eating contest. Residents had 5 minutes to eat their popsicles. Michael B. won!

During the summer months, we had our annual Summer 2025 Therapy Contest where each therapy team was given the opportunity to participate by taking a picture or video doing an activity withe the specific object listed. The prize was Dairy Queen Blizzards! For June the team was to create a therapy activity that uses a popsicle as the main object. We had two winners for June-Acute Rehabilitation Hospital of Plano and Garnet Hill Rehabilitation and Skilled Care.

The Acute Rehabilitation Hospital of Plano team played popsicle Jenga and had competitive stacking races.
