He received his Bachelors of Science from Baylor University in Waco, TX and spent four years in Cleveland, OH where his received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine. He performed his clinical and surgical residency at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Jacksonville, Florida where he later became an attending physician of the residency.
