26 years ago today was the last time I saw my mom’s face.
She died by suicide—and not a single day has passed where that loss hasn’t shaped who I am.

Grief doesn’t have an expiration date. It changes form, it softens and sharpens in different ways, but it never truly leaves. What has grown over the years is my understanding of how important it is to talk, to check in, to love loudly, and to remind people they matter—even when they don’t believe it themselves.

If you’re struggling today, please know this: you are not weak, you are not broken, and you are not alone. Your life has value far beyond what this moment tells you.

And if you’ve lost someone this way, I see you. We carry them with us—always.
