Today at Providence Park, residents put their hands and minds to work during our Body Works “Break the Ice” activity, smashing frozen cubes to free the hidden treasures inside. We kept our brains engaged with our Mind Works theme, “Cold,” sparking conversation and memory. 🌸✈️ Travel Club at Providence Park. We are enjoying our Art Works activity, where we painted cherry blossoms on paper to create Japanese lanterns. As part of our Travel Club, we also watched a video about traveling through Japan and learned about the culture along the way. A peaceful, creative afternoon filled with color and curiosity.

We were generously donated dolls, and as a community we decided to clean them up and donate them to a nearby memory care unit. We haven’t selected the location just yet, but in the meantime our residents gathered yesterday to help wash the dolls’ hair, clean them up, and prepare them with love. It was a meaningful and hands-on activity, and we’re excited to continue spreading joy beyond our walls.

🦆💛 Duck Day at Providence Park was a splash of fun!
We celebrated with some extremely competitive duck racing, duck tattoos, and “winter duck” crackers that brought plenty of laughs. Our champions proudly won their duck cups and wasted no time showing them off. Smiles, friendly competition, and lots of quacking made it a day to remember!

Today at Providence Park, creativity, music, and tradition filled the room. Our residents crafted rainbow snowflakes, enjoyed worship led by one of our own on guitar, and were treated to black-eyed peas made with love by Drenda, one of our nurses, to welcome good health in the new year. Moments like these remind us that home is built through care, connection, and shared joy.
