TMA President Jayesh “Jay” Shah, MD, arrived in Tyler in advance of TMA's Local Medicine Matters Conference. He met with Smith County Medical Society President Li-Yu Mitchell, MD, and Susan M. “Sue” Cox, MD, dean of the UT Tyler School of Medicine. The day began with a walk along a local Tyler trail, followed by a tour of the SMILE Center and lunch - all focused on strengthening connections and discussing the future of medical education.
