"Painting With Purpose" takes on a whole new meaning with Amber from Harbor Hospice. These beautiful paintings are not only fun to create but also work on fine motor skills and hand dexterity. What a great way to have a therapeutic activity.

Our back to school Luau has been a success and is still going! Residents and family have enjoyed hot dogs, nachos, popcorn, snowcones, cotton candy, face painting and more! School supplies were given out til we ran out for all our lil angels headed back to school next week. A huge thank you to all our community friends who participated and donated to make today great for our family here at Park Place❤️ Next up will be our Halloween Trunk or Treat!!

At Park Place, we love to support our residents and our staff, so please help us by donating school supplies to our building! From map pencils to lined paper, anything would be appreciated so that we can make sure our staff’s children are ready to get back to school in August. Our donation box is located at the front of the building, and please donate before August 8th. 📘✏️🖍📓🍎

This week in our Wild about Wellness campaign we created nature landscapes with water colors. The residents voted on their favorite landscape and crafted their own rendition of the image. 🏞️🎨🖼️

To show our appreciation for our CNAs, our residents made edible medals out of sweet treats to give our #1 CNA staff tokens of gratitude. We love our CNAs! 🥇

This week for our Wild about Wellness Campaign we discussed gardening for health. We made homemade bruschetta as we discussed the wonderful benefits of garden grown fruits and vegetables. Everyone loved eating fresh! 🪴🍅🥬

This week our residents embarked on a roadtrip to the National Parks! From the Red Woods in California to the Grand Tetons in Wyoming, we virtually traveled over 8 of the National Parks in the North East region. We had so much fun on our drive with snacks and simulating the winding mountain trails. 🏞️🚌🛣️

We are continuing our Wild about Wellness campaign with our Underwater Search and Find. The residents loved the water beads and finding the sea creatures. We had great discussions about past beach trips, ocean adventures, and all the sea animals we have encountered. Share a story in the comments! 🌊🐠🐬

We held our first Farmer’s Market this week at Park Place. Our residents used their wellness bucks they earn from coming to activities to buy healthy snacks and fun decorations for wheelchairs, walkers, and their rooms! Stop by and join in the fun! 🍓🍅🥒
