[A Letter to the Radiant Yoga Ukiah community... ]

Thank you to our community for your dedication, hard work, and showing up each day, not just for yourself, but for each other, to practice at the studio.

May this year be the best yet!

We appreciate your business and for continuing to make this community what it is. We can not tell you how much it means to us that this community continues to grow and thrive.

Some of you may know, Bonnie Piusz started this yoga studio in the 1990’s. She made this place into something magical with her vision and charm. She trusted me to take it over in 2018, and it is my honor to continue to carry on her vision.

A Message from Bart Kaplan: Bonnie’s husband...

“Bonnie passed away on December 20 after a long struggle with cancer. In the last days she had family here and was comfortable to the end. She lived an incredible life and together we built a beautiful family. I met her when I was 32, and she was 22. At home and in our own way, we delivered three children, adding to the Daughter she already had, and the Son and Daughter I had through an earlier marriage, which made six children we raised. We did not have a conventional marriage, so that she was free to do what she felt she needed to do, whether I liked it or not.

When the kids were mostly grown, she set her sights on becoming a yoga teacher. In a few short years, she built a community and studio in Ukiah. To this day, Radiant Yoga Ukiah remains a bustling center of what Bonnie loved: joy, wellness, and gratitude.

We were together 53 years. Remember, life is the miracle we live in this vast universe, but it is temporary, so you better make your life an adventure, while you are still alive and have time. Bonnie certainly did and I am lucky to have shared so much of my own adventure with her. Love to all who loved her.”
