Join Multiplicity Therapeutic Services this Saturday, July 26th from 1-2:30pm for a caregiver support group.

There will be food, bowling and arcade games. Come by for a chance to connect with support professionals and other caregivers while your loved ones have a fun time with trained support staff in a safe environment.

On July 16, 2025, the Ukiah City Council issued a proclamation recognizing July as Disability Independence Day in the City of Ukiah. Julie Eby-McKenzie, from the State Council on Developmental Disabilities, accepted the proclamation on behalf of disabled persons in our community. The City encourages the community to learn more about ADA, eliminate discrimination, and celebrate July 26, 2025 as Disability Independence Day.

Community members in Eureka are set to celebrate inclusion, empowerment and visibility this Saturday as the Disability Pride Fest returns to the Adorni Center.

This evening, Eureka City Council once again proclaimed July as Disability Pride Month and RCRC was honored to accept this Proclamation alongside Juliannah Harris of Tri-County Independent Living.

RCRC’s Elizabeth Hassler eloquently expressed “I think disability pride can mean a lot of different things. My shirt says ‘Disability is not a bad word’ so I think even just by saying the word disability and talking about disability really allows Eureka to take steps forward in how we support all people’s rights.”

This weekend we continue the celebration by partnering with our community to host the Disability Pride Fest. With games, music, art and more, we will be celebrating the 35th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act and what it represents.
