Happy National Homemade Bread Day! Our friends are enjoying a variety of homemade bread. Some particularly loved the Mexican bread. They had strawberry butter and jams to top the bread. Then, reminiscing about the bread-making days this time of year, many hands at this table have made many types of bread. Oh, the stories that were told. Do you make bread? What kind ? .

Even though it’s cooler weather, you still enjoy a delicious ice cream cone. Wouldn’t you agree? They said gathering around the gossip table and enjoying an ice cream cone is certainly a pleasant experience. Lol, would you agree?

On Friday, several of our friends embarked on a Fall foliage and Ice cream Road trip. Although the leaves were not as vibrant as usual due to our very dry summer, we never the less enjoyed our drive and especially our Ice cream treats.

Well one thing is for certain most men love football , it seems to be a universal language among men !! Our sweet friends Jerry and Don along with Tracy Dyer’s husband Johnny enjoyed football and fellowship today . Thanks so much Johnny for spending time with these sweet guys !

Every year We celebrate the “First Thanksgiving” . With our tables all pushed together in a circle. We focused on peace, gratitude, and unity rather than blame or conflict: Our Pilgrams and Indians all gathered together as family should ,not as strangers, but as souls beneath one sky—the harvest laid before them,the autumn winds drifting by. Enjoying a delicious feast prepared by our Dietary manager .
Let us sit like they once did,with open hearts and open hands,remembering that peace begins where understanding stands.
For thanksgiving is more than feasting,
it’s more than tales of long ago—
it’s choosing grace instead of wrath,
and seeds of kindness we still sow.

Friday, November 14 was National Pickle Day!!! We consistently strive to find ways to bring laughter, joy, and a smile to our friends' faces. Our exceptional PCA's wanted to commemorate this special day with our friends. They collaborated to make pickle dip, pickle chips, and a few other pickle treats, and we had a wonderful afternoon. Here's a picture of one of our sweet PCA's, Sarah, with one of our friends, both enjoying pickles and dip!

Talk about a “Nacho Average Day” !!
That’s just what it was. A delicious salsa , queso and tortilla chips. Playing maracas, and guitars to top the day off. Fun fun time.

Today was another fun filled day as our in house therapy group Aegis gathered our sweet friends for a little Cupid Shuffle and noodle ball ! Exercise is fun when mixed with music and lots of good friends !!!

Each year on Veterans Day we pause to honor the brave men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces. We celebrated by taking some of our veterans to Discovery Park of America , where you can see what a great time they had- even the caregivers (find those exciting pictures) we have videos but debating to share those lol.
Then we went on to enjoy a great lunch Snappy Tomato Pizza Union City. Thank you Richard Moran for your hospitality and lunch .
We want to say Thank you to our veterans for everything you did to protect our country. We salute you for your service to our country. This wouldn't be the home of the free if not for brave veterans like you. Thinking of you this Veterans Day with respect and gratitude!
