There's something special about gathering to decorate the holiday tree together. As we hung each ornament, we were reminded that family isn't just who we're born to—it's also the friends who become our chosen family.

On Friday we gathered to decorate our neighborhood trees, enjoying favorite holiday tunes, Chef Joseph’s homemade eggnog, and warm fellowship! 🎄✨

It’s Monday at Acacia Creek, which can only mean one thing… shuffleboard at the Turkey Roost! Our resident-run bar was buzzing this afternoon as friends gathered for friendly competition and good laughs. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or just here for the camaraderie, there’s no better way to kick off the week!

Trying something new big or small introduces us to new ideas, new ways of thinking, and new opportunities for growth. When we try new activities, our brains switch off autopilot and form new neural connections.

With an incredible 48 years of experience, no one brings more heart to creativity than Kathy our ceramics instructor. For Kathy, the ceramics studio is truly her second home. Surrounded by glazes, molds, brushes, and the hum of the kiln, she teaches with the same passion that drew her to the craft decades ago.

27 years ago, a lucky referral brought her to our community, where she later earned her formal state certification in ceramics. Through art, she helps residents express themselves and nearly five decades later, Kathy still isn’t slowing down. The ceramics room continues to buzz with creativity, laughter, and the warmth she’s built from earth, fire, and heart!

This summer, residents enjoyed a heartwarming wellness event, featuring emotional-support animals from the Caring Corral. These gentle companions brought some of the biggest smiles to our community, reminding us that tough times are solved no better than with some hooves and hugs!

Our resident wild turkeys decided to celebrate in their own way with a friendly “game” on our putt golf course this morning! This holiday, we’re grateful for our vibrant community, the friendships that make our campus feel like home, and the little moments that bring joy to everyday life. This week, our resident-run bar, the Turkey Roost, transformed into a mini airfield as residents gathered for a special remote RC airplane show. Several hobbyists brought out their beautifully crafted model planes. A huge thanks to the residents who shared their cool passion!
