The residents spent some time decorating rocks to share when out on adventures! These beauties will be deposited at various locations when the residents are out on scenic rides, visits to different locations, just wherever they feel spiritual lift is needed.

Staying physically active is so important no matter the age or the person. There’s some form of exercise every day at Americare - Union Pointe! Noodle ball is a favorite with our residents. So much laughter and fun would never know it was exercise….

Our activity calendar took on a new look this month including the addition of evening and weekend activities!

At a glance each activity is more identifiable as to which of the “Seven Dimensions of Wellness” the activity relates to.

The calendar prep is quite a task but the end result is a balanced, fun filled, schedule for our residents to enjoy! From BINGO to scenic rides, shopping to exercising, volunteering to socializing, the calendar covers it all.

If you’d like to volunteer for an activity or time with the residents, please let us know!

Memories are made doing traditions, old or new! Today many were made and recalled as Easter Eggs were dyed in preparation of the Easter Supper planned for tomorrow at Americare - Union Pointe. Residents will have all the favorites and more-ham, ambrosia, deviled eggs, hash brown casserole, loaded green beans and of course…great company!

Today was arm day and the residents worked their muscles! As an occupational therapist once said, “motion is lotion,” we want those joints strong for our residents at Americare - Union Pointe!
