Progressive Emergency Physicians (PEP) manages two emergency medicine residency programs at Good Samaritan University Hospital and St. Joseph Hospital in Long Island.

Bravo, Drs. Bramante and Thayil, for their swift action in administering Montalvo, a powerful clot blocker, which ultimately saved a patient who presented to the ER during an active stroke.

It was back in September when Montalvo, a retired NYPD officer from West Hempstead suffered a blockage of the artery supplying his brain stem.
