7 years ago when I began making my own soap, I did it because I just wanted to learn how to do it. Then I did it because I had developed a skin condition that made it
Impossible to use over the counter soaps. Then COVID hit and that caused me to take a journey down the holistic rabbit hole that was one of the most fascinating and enlightening journeys of my life! (Well almost) I learned how to really go back to basics as well as back to the farm when our great grandparents (or at least the 50’s) I began making products and everyday necessities like fish liquid, soap powder, household cleaners, etc. (oh and No outside shoes are worn in my house. They get left at the door!)
many of you already know that I haven’t made a boxed cake since the 70’s. And I remain true to that to this day. But also since 2019 I’ve added yogurt (actually I’ve been doing this even longer) but now sour cream, cream cheese, mozzarella cheese! Sauerkraut, jellies, jams, butter, horseradish, apple cider vinegar, pickles, mayonnaise, mustard, etc. I hope I don’t appear as though I’m bragging, I’m just amazed at how far I have come doing the things I never would have imagined. With that being said, I ask you what sort of things have you learned and started doing since COVID, and which of those talents will you continue to do moving forward?

Casting Call

Auditions will be held this Saturday, January 6th, in Sandy Springs, GA. Location will only be disclosed once selected for a time slot. Auditions are by invitation only and please be local to the Atlanta Area.

Reel Rebel Films is now casting for “Deadly Attraction,” a suspenseful psychological thriller scheduled to begin shooting within the next 30 days. Must have open availability between January 31st and Valentine’s Day.

Open Roles:

Tasha, African American Female, 40-50. Tasha is the best friend of the lead character and the V.P. of a PR Firm. She is protective of her friend and often offers relationship advice.

Michael, African American Male, 35, is charming, fit and attractive. He has a dark side characterized by jealousy, anger, and aggression.

Detective Parker, Open Ethnicity, 45-65, confident, mature and driven with a commanding presence and serious demeanor.

Mae-Rose, African American Female, 70s, is Tasha’s mother and she is cranky, blunt and stubborn. After recently suffering a stroke, she is dealing with accepting her new circumstances and has recently had to move in with her daughter.

Dr. Donald, African American Male, 35-45, is handsome with an engaging personality. Dr. Donald is Tasha’s love interest and Mae-Rose’s doctor.

Officer Ramsey, Open Ethnicity, Male, 30-40, is the second officer working with Detective Parker. He is professional and diligent.

Sasha, Open Ethnicity, Female, 20-30, is an R & B sensation represented by the main character’s PR firm. She has the look of a singer with charisma and star quality.

Marie Fisher, African American Female, 40-45, is the mistress to one of the male characters.

Patricia, African American Female 35-45, is the wife of the man that Marie Fisher is sleeping with. She works late nights at a diner, which allows her husband the flexibility to cheat.

Jeanie, Caucasian Female, 50-60, is the sister of the lead detective. She is comforting and reassuring.

Greg, African American Male, 40-45, is arrogant, clean and well-dressed. He considers himself to be a “high-value” man.

Dr. Barnes, Open Ethnicity, Male, 35-55, is serious and educated.

Waiter/Waitress, two roles, Open Ethnicity, formal, courteous and well-spoken.

Police Officer, Open Ethnicity, 35-55, stern and authoritative.

Receptionist, Female, Open Ethnicity, 35-50.

Halos can be mended

Spiritual beings here on earth are not all perfect. Some have been deeply wounded one way or another. This does not make them bad. It makes them empaths, able to understand the frailties of life. We understand that sometimes you will lose your way, sometimes you will hit rock bottom before finding your way back to the surface of life.
It makes you stronger, like a broken bone. Which becomes stronger as it heals.
Life can do that to some people, breaks us down just enough to bring us back stronger than we were before.
If you have been hit with what appeared as lifes worst, dont believe that you cannot come back better than you were. Find the strength to stand again, brace yourself, put one leg up and then the other, your not alone, other human angels are there to help you rise. We are all around you, praying for your strength to return to become strong in grace,
you got this.
Ask for help in prayer and meditation. We are all around you praying for your highest good.
God and the universe are your ever present help.
You got this.
When your prayer rises for help, it is heard, and it will be answered,
believe and it will be given.
Halos can be mended, so straighten up and rise
strong with good intentions. Make the effort to put one foot in front of the other, and Believe you will rise again.
Angels are gods warriors who had broken halos. But now they are like broken bones. stronger, better than they were before able to withstand anything the opposition brings.
Count yourself one of God's warriors who had broken halos that were mended with God's grace.
