Teddie and his wife continue to be advocates for health and movement. They completed the Martin Marietta City of Oaks Half Marathon this weekend in Raleigh, NC. They were able to exceed their expectations by setting realistic goals and making it a priority to train their bodies. Whether it’s a 5K or an ultramarathon, set a goal and chase it. Our bodies are made for movement so get out there and get moving.

We came, we ran (and walked), we had so much fun!!! The Octoberfest 5k & Beer Mile was awesome. The atmosphere was great. A perfect Fall morning. Can’t wait to do it again next year!

This past weekend, our PT Teddie, competed in a partner CrossFit competition at CrossFit Ridgeline in Morgantown. After sustaining a back injury just two weeks prior to the competition, his training came to a halt. With the help of his partner Corey Dascenzo (a fellow PT) and techniques he frequently uses on his patients, he was able to rehab his back in time to compete and take 4th place as a team. Injuries can happen to anyone, at any time, but it is important to keep working toward your goals. Big or small, athlete or not, we'd love to help push you to your goal.

Meet our therapist… Teddie Sova, DPT is a Hopwood native who started his professional journey at Fairmont State University where he played baseball and earned a bachelors degree in Exercise Science. He went on to earn a Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Chatham University in 2020 and has been part of the King Team since the beginning of 2021. He is equipped to treat a variety of patients ranging from young athletes to older adults but really enjoys treating active and highly motivated individuals. From post-op to daily aches and pains, he uses a fitness forward mentality to work with all patients. He prefers treating 1 on 1 to personally know and tailor an individualized treatment experience with them. In his free time, he focuses on staying active by working out, running, mountain biking, hunting and generally being outdoors. He enjoys spending family time traveling, camping and hiking with his wife and two spoiled dogs. His goal is to promote function and improve the community’s health through movement.
