2)Foods to increase blood flow: Omega-3 Fatty Acids: Omega-3s found in fatty fish like salmon, mackerel, and flaxseeds can help reduce inflammation and improve circulation. Garlic: Garlic contains compounds that may improve circulation by relaxing blood vessels and reducing blood pressure. Incorporate garlic into your cooking. Turmeric: Curcumin, the active compound in turmeric, has anti-inflammatory properties that can support circulation. Consider adding turmeric to your meals or taking a curcumin supplement. Ginger: Ginger may help improve blood circulation by dilating blood vessels. You can use fresh ginger in cooking or make ginger tea. Citrus Fruits: Citrus fruits like oranges, lemons, and grapefruits are rich in vitamin C, which supports healthy blood vessels. Leafy Greens: Foods like spinach, kale, and Swiss chard are high in nitrates, which can help relax blood vessels and improve circulation. Nuts and Seeds: Almonds, walnuts, and chia seeds contain healthy fats and antioxidants that can benefit circulation. Cayenne Pepper: Capsaicin, found in cayenne pepper, may promote blood flow by dilating blood vessels. Use it sparingly in your meals. Fermented Ginger & Garlic
Fermented garlic ginger
help improve blood pressure, cardiovascular health, and cholesterol.
* 2-3 heads of garlic
* 1 cup of honey (or as needed to cover the garlic cloves)
* 1-2 in Chopped ginger
Step 1: Separate and peel the garlic cloves. You can choose to chop them or not. I usually do not chop them.
Step 2: Place the garlic and ginger in a clean jar.
Step 3: Pour the cup of honey over the garlic cloves and ginger. Be sure there is enough to cover them all well and roll the jar to ensure the honey touches everywhere. *A fermenting weight disk or similar can be used to keep the garlic cloves below the surface if needed.
Step 4: Place the lid on the jar and put it in a cabinet away from heat sources like appliances, windows, and heating vents.
Step 5: Every few days slowly roll the jar to ensure good honey coverage over the garlic.
Step 6: It will need to set for one month. Loosen and re-tighten the lid every once in a while to allow the build up to release.
Consume 1-2 tablespoons as needed. Store in cabinet.
