💥🎾ATHLETE APPRECIATION POST💥🎾

Shout out to one of the hardest working (and funniest) clients I’ve had the pleasure of working with - Miss Anna!

It’s been almost a year of weekly PT sessions and you’ve crushed it every step of the way. Coming to PT week in and week out is no easy feat, and I know sometimes motivation just isn’t there. But even when you didn’t want to, you showed up for yourself in ways that you should be extremely proud of - I know I am.

I’ll miss our weekly yap sessions and constantly giggling with this smart, strong, amazing goofball! Comment below and congratulate Anna on her PT graduation!

Swipe to the last video for Anna’s interpretation of “if your experience of PT was a dance move, what would it be?”

💥ATHLETE APPRECIATION POST💥

- what an inspiration you are! After a year of hard work and dedication, you’ve officially graduated from physical therapy and are back to doing what you love—lacrosse, skiing and just being a teenager! This is your second ACL injury, and your resilience throughout this process has been nothing short of incredible. From the ups and downs, you charged forward with a mindset of strength and focus, never complaining and always doing what needed to be done.

It has been such an honor to be a part of your journey, from teaching you how to walk again to watching you return to the field. Working with female athletes like you, who push through the challenges and show up day after day, is what gives me purpose. It’s a privilege to help youth athletes like you not just recover, but thrive.

Keep shining, Tatum. You’ve earned every moment of this comeback. 💪💪

Drop a comment below and please join me in congratulating Tatum for graduating from PT!

💥Athlete Appreciation Post💥

Good luck to our awesome client, Stephan, who is running the BMW Dallas Half Marathon tomorrow!

Stephan is a perfect example of what consistency can do for the human body.

Last year, Stephan had hip and knee pain while running which stopped him from finishing a big race.

Over the past 6 months he has put in an unreal amount of effort working on both mobility and strength. Not to mention, he became a new dad during this time as well!

He is now pain-free with running and ready to CRUSH this half marathon!

He embodies what we stand for at EWPT - taking control back from pain and caring for your body as a habit of longevity rather than only as a reaction to injury/breakdown.

Join me in wishing Stephan good luck this weekend below in the comments!! You got this 💪💪💪

Back pain can be a common problem when playing golf. To reduce the risk of injury, make sure your posture is correct.

A proper stance with the back straight and hips forward will help keep your spine healthy.

Additionally, stretching your back from side to side regularly and taking short breaks between swings can further reduce strain on your lower back.

Stretching can also include a series of golf-specific stretches such as bending over at the waist to reach for the ball or rotating your torso in both directions before teeing off.

Place a resistance band around your arches. Keeping your toes forward, knees slightly bent and facing forward, take one step to the right and a small step to the right with your left foot. Continue with a big step on the right and a small step on the left for 10 steps.

– Targeted Muscles: Glut max, Glut med, External Rotators.

– Golf Integration: Your glutes supply stability as well as power to transition force through the trunk into the ball from back swing to ball contact.
