What a week! Hospital Week was a wonderful reminder of just how special our teams are. From themed days and festive decorations to delicious meals, sweet treats and thoughtful surprises, our facilities truly went above and beyond to celebrate the incredible people who make our hospitals places of compassion and healing.

Thank you to everyone who helped organize, participate in, and enjoy the week’s events. Your energy and spirit made it a week to remember!

From heartfelt thank-you notes and special meals to fun-themed days and appreciation events, our teams came together to show just how much our nurses mean to us. This week, our Marketing and Communications team had the honor of volunteering at the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kentuckiana - RMHCK in Louisville, where we cooked and served dinner, complete with an ice cream sundae bar, for families staying there. It was a small way to support their incredible mission of providing a “home away from home” for families of children receiving healthcare in our community. We’re grateful for the chance to share comfort, compassion, and a warm meal with families navigating some of their toughest days.

Happy Patient Safety Week! Patient safety is at the center of everything we do. When patients entrust us with their care, we enlist all measures to provide them with quality care in the safest environment possible. We are proud of the awards and recognition our hospitals have received for prioritizing quality and safety, including five of our community hospitals earning ‘A’ Safety Grades from The Leapfrog Group last Fall. Additionally, three of our hospitals earned the ‘Platinum Award’ from our National Quality Strategy (NQS) last year, which is our highest honor for clinical quality. Congratulations to Christine "Chris" Kelsey, RN for being recognized as a 2024 Monarch Caring and Community Award recipient! Chris wears multiple hats at Watertown Regional Medical Center, caring for patients as a medsurg nurse, leading her team as a house supervisor, and mentoring new nurses as a preceptor. No matter the role, Christine always brings a skill and passion for her work that lifts others and makes her hospital a better place to receive care and a better place to work.
