So a few people have replied seemingly thinking its fine to say:

'I'm going to ignore evil because, Trump.'

No, it's not fine. I'm not asking you to support Trump. I'm saying the current incumbents are evil or puppets for evil (same thing).

Grow a pair (ovaries or testicles or whichever mesonephric-originating-organ you choose) and stop tolerating this s**t.

It's intolerable.

The Susie Peebler Scholarship and Open Day was a rip-roaring success. Not only did we get four more interns but most importantly the quality of interns was fantastic.

The next scholarship exam will be in September and the test will be harder still. In fact, the entrance exam is going to become the current exit exam for the course.

Within 5 years the plan is that the exit exam will be tougher than medical school. Graduating interns from The Acupuncture Hospital, in one year of study, will have a higher level of anatomical, embryological and physiological knowledge than graduating medical students after 5.

This is all possible because when we learn The Six Divisions everything follows intuitively. Endoderm makes taiyin metabolises damp ... etc

If you want to see how you would have done in the Susie Peebler Scholarship Exam it is below. The top mark was 39 and all interns who joined got above 33. The first 20 questions are relatively easy!

More feedback from one of my interns about the SSOMA course.

It simply is the best course in the UK at the moment. Why? Because not only is it fast, efficient and cost effective; but you get the clearest teaching and, crucially, plenty of patients to practice on. You will learn how to make patients dramatically better. So much better that it will lead to the end of Western medicine as we know it.

Thanks Nicki!

Come join the revolution.

We still have three places left to win the SSOMA Scholarship. This gives you 50% of the course fees to learn acupuncture at The Acupuncture Hospital. At £4400 for a new career, and joining what will become a world-class centre, this is a great opportunity.

The test for this takes place on 16th March in Tunbridge Wells.

The course is so good we now have two already qualified acupunctures who have started doing it.

If interested, or if you know anyone who is, contact Kate at Kate@drdankeown.com

My intern has already made £40 in tips and a free lunch. Hasn't even got half way through the day.

The plan is that (good) interns will generate the course fees back over the year in tips. Sometimes even more.

This is possible because we give great treatments here and patients are grateful. A part of the value that we give people back in their lifes they return in cash.

If you want to be part of this get in touch.

Health, Vitality, BeautyAcupuncture is the safest, gentlest and most environmentally friendly medicine on the planet. Book an Appointment Acupuncture works by correcting the flow of bioelectricity, or qi, in the body. When this goes wrong you can get symptoms such as pain and stiffness. In fact all....

Interest in the SSOMA course at The Acupuncture Hospital continues to grow.

We do have limited availibility (although we plan to expand the hospital when this is reached) so if you're thinking about joining the revolution get in touch now to avoid having to wait.

We offer three programs:

Full teaching from scratch at £8800 (scholarship available for this).
Conversion course from your current degree £6600
Graduate course for already qualified acupuncturist £4400.

The course teaches you to think the 'SSOMA way', effectively the Keown / Wang Ju Yi way that is completely in accord with the classics but also scientific, logical and gets consistent results. This allows a uniformity of practice that can build brand awareness, trust and acceptance in the community.

Once qualified you become an Associate of The Hospital. At the moment this a honourary title but the plan is to create a legal status that gives you visiting rights to the hospital in exchange for ethical oversight.

The long term plan is to create a medical revolution where acupuncture is entrenched at the base of medical care.

If you want to get involved, and if you think nobody else can help (as well as us), if you can find us (see below) then you need the A-Team*.

*I just really love the A-Team.

Had an enquiry about my postage costs.

I can't do much about these but, remember, for a medical textbook my books remain cheaper than almost any other textbook out there.

I'm keen to reduce costs for you further and the easiest way to do this is to bulk buy. £150 or more (three softbacks) gets you free postage (automatically applied on website).

If you are in a college or school and you want to buy 10 or more than I'll not only include free postage but also offer 15% off.

If you are interested in this just contact me either via dan@drdankeown.com or via Facebook.

Wow.

Just used acupuncture for a poorly healing rib fracture. 6 weeks and still painful.

I used the huaitiaojiao points for one main reason:

I did not want to stick a needle into a poorly healing fracture... imagine if it got infected?!

Saying that, in orthopedic practice, they routinely inject local aneasthetics into fractures, they are called haematoma blocks. Apparently infections never occur.

Western docs operate to different standards than us, though. For starters, they don't seem overly oncerned about killing their patients... certainly on a systemic level anyway

So, I used the huaitijiao (or close to them) and immediate, like immediate, reduction in tenderness. And the rib fracture appeared to set better. And the patient reported less pain on inspiration.

So, result. I would never have expected it. Even as an Emergency doctor who has used acupuncture, successfully, in the ED.
