Our team takes a collaborative and radically transparent investment management approach to grant funding. Our mission is to accelerate knowledge of Causes and Cures for patients with mental illnesses via medical research funding + media. We invest in mental health research projects grounded in Biology (i.e. We take a first-principles approach rather than a symptomatic approach to allocating money.
Symptoms are observations, not causes. As such, we are Illness Agnostic. We award three annual 1907 Trailblazer Awards to promising early-career MDs and PhDs. Each Fellow is provided $120,000 to investigate the Causes and Cures of mental illness.
