Only 1 spot remaining in next weekend's Ohio/West Virginia Concealed Carry Class!

This class is based on the NRA's Basic Pistol curriculum. Upon completion of the class students will receive an NRA Basic Pistol certification and other certifications they will need to apply for their concealed carry permit. Following up on my post from a couple of weeks ago when my ACRO P-1 died at the range. Aimpoint, Inc. customer service could not have been better. I was able to get an RMA and get my broken optic in the mail to them within two days of the breakage. About a week later I received a package from them in the mail, but instead of a repaired ACRO P-1 it contained a brand new ACRO P-2! A great upgrade! Just mounted it today. Hoping to get out to the range in the next couple of weeks to zero it. Thank you for the great support, Aimpoint!

Awesome private class this morning with Dana at Moundsville Rifle & Pistol Club! This is her 3rd or 4th training session with me. We’ve spent quite a bit of time focusing on marksmanship and basic gunhandling. This was our first training session together in a couple of months, so I wanted to see where her marksmanship and manipulations were at before moving into things like multiple shot strings of fire and holster work. I had her fire 5 rounds at 7 yards cold with no warmup or instruction and she knocked it out of the park. 1st round was directly in the black 1” square and the other 4 were all solid hits as well! She’s clearly been putting in the work and doing her dry fire. Today we were able to get into grip & trigger manipulation during multiple round strings of fire, which she is picking up quickly, as well as drawing from a concealed AIWB holster. Very encouraging training session!

My next classes are a church safety training event with Knowhow Dynamics on 1/31 and an Ohio/West Virginia Concealed Carry Class on 2/7. I’d love to see you at either, let me know if you’re interested!

Another In-Structure Defense course complete with Knowhow Dynamics. There are so many facets to structure clearing. Every time I attend this class something new clicks for me that went over my head the last time. This time, after prompting from Judd, I think I did a much better job actually processing information I was seeing in the rooms as I pied prior to entry. I found myself noticing things like dead space created by furniture, mirrors that could potentially give me more info about the room, etc. This class will always challenge you and will always tell you the truth about your capabilities if you’re willing to listen. 5th time I’ve taken it and I still highly recommend it to anyone who can safely handle a firearm.

In this class you'll learn how to stop life threatening bleeding by using manual pressure, pressure dressings, hemostatic dressings, and tourniquets. First my ACRO went down and now my G***k 42 trigger is dead. This week seems to be the gift that keeps giving. Ironically, I’m teaching Stoppage Identification & Clearance tomorrow, so maybe I’ll get some live issues instead of setting them all up 🤦🏻‍♂️
