Is It Stress… or Anxiety? 🤔

We all experience stress - it’s a normal response to life’s challenges. But sometimes what we’re feeling goes deeper than everyday stress.

Stress is usually tied to a specific situation (work deadlines, family responsibilities, big life changes). It often eases once the situation improves.

Anxiety can feel more constant. It may show up as excessive worry, racing thoughts, trouble sleeping, muscle tension, irritability, or even panic, and even sometimes without a clear cause.

So how can you tell the difference?

✔️ Stress feels temporary and situation-based
✔️ Anxiety lingers; it can feel overwhelming or hard to control and can impact your relationships, work life, and day-to-day functioning
✔️ Both are valid—and both deserve attention

If your worries are interfering with your daily life, relationships, or peace of mind, it may be time to talk with someone.

At Permian Basin Counseling & Guidance, we’re here to help you better understand what you’re experiencing and provide tools to move forward with confidence.

You don’t have to navigate it alone. 💙

Megan is committed to meeting clients where they are and providing compassionate, individualized support to help them move toward healing and stability.

Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to be limited to romance. It can be a powerful opportunity to honor all forms of love - the steady love of family, the grounding presence of friends, the guidance of mentors, the joy of children, and even the enduring connection we carry for those who are no longer physically with us.

Love isn’t just about being “in love.”
It’s about being connected. Seen. Supported. Remembered.
