Baby toes and infant carriers 🥰 wearing babies is one of my favorite parts of postpartum doula life! They instantly calm down and I get a free hand (sometimes both). What’s your favorite infant carrier or wrap? Let me know in the comments!

A few weeks ago I shared this beauty as a story but was exhausted and didn’t have the time to share any details. This placenta was home to a beautiful baby girl for 10 months and her mama worked so hard to bring her into this world, to the tune of roughly 48 hours in labor. I spent around 24 of those hours with her, her partner and her own mother 💗

Every birth that I have the privilege to be present at is a learning experience for me. Whether it be medically, holistically, physically, emotionally or my personal favorite, becoming more in-tune with myself and who I am as a doula! I have spent years thinking that it’s not my responsibility to be an advocate, but instead teaching them how to advocate for themselves. It doesn’t always work that way! This birth challenged me. I used everything in my bag of tricks and was reaching out to with questions and if I’m being honest, I second guessed myself a lot. But there came a point when it was time for mom to push and I figured out who I was, what type of support I am for women/birthing people!

Y’all I am the hype person! And I ask all the questions when it comes to a hospital birth and I make sure that you know your rights and how to say NO. I’ve learned that I’m not the best person for someone to have as support if you’re looking for a soft doula. I am not it 🙅🏻‍♀️ I am the one saying to you “how do you plan on getting this baby out? You have 2 choices at the moment and only you can make that decision, but a choice has to be made and ASAP.” Women and birthing people are strong! Sometimes we all need someone to get loud for us and at us to kick us into gear. We should never stop learning about who we are and evolving into a better version of ourselves. We aren’t meant to be for everyone and that’s okay.

I shall end this by saying, happy birthday little one 🥳 it was an absolute honor watching you come into this world and getting the chance to see another woman enter into parenthood 💗

Who wants a scoop?! Went to pick my kiddos birthday cake up from a few weeks back and had a good laugh when I saw the artwork on display! Being a birth worker my brain instantly saw “dilation chart” and I had to point it out to my friends 😅

What do you see in your profession that makes you think of something other than its intended purpose? Let me know 💗

✨HAPPY BIRTHDAY✨ I’m so happy to announce that last Wednesday, Sept. 4th I had the privilege of being present for my first birth here in Las Vegas. Baby Chloe was roared into this world by her momma and it was incredible to watch. I still can’t believe that this is my job, this passion that I love so much!

is the place to birth here in Las Vegas if you are looking for an in between hospital and home birth. The midwives and nurses/birth assistants are all phenomenal; beyond grateful that they’ve been so welcoming to the new doula in the community!

Hiya! Are you getting ready to embark on the most epic journey of your life—parenthood? It’s going to be a wild ride, but guess what? You don’t have to do it alone. I’m here to help! As a doula based in Las Vegas, I offer both birth and postpartum support that’s as unique as you are!

First things first, let’s talk about birth support. Think of me as your personal cheerleader, advocate, and coach all rolled into one. I’ll be by your side to offer pain management techniques, emotional support, and all the encouragement you need to bring your little one into the world. Whether you’re planning a home birth, birth center, hospital birth or a Beyoncé-style production (hey, it’s Vegas!), I’m here to make sure your birth experience is as smooth and positive as possible.
Now, let’s not forget about the postpartum period—AKA the “What on Earth Do I Do Now?” phase. This is where I really shine! I’ll be there to help you navigate the new and exciting challenges of parenthood, from breastfeeding tips to baby-soothing tricks that are more effective than a lullaby from Snoop Dogg. Plus, I’ll make sure you’re taking care of YOU, too. Because let’s face it, you can’t pour from an empty cup (or an empty coffee pot, and trust me, you’ll need coffee).

So, if you’re in Las Vegas and looking for a doula who is confident, nurturing, and ready to support you through every step of this incredible journey, look no further! Let’s make your parenting debut one to remember. Give me a shout, and let’s chat about how I can support you.

✨Babywearing✨ Let’s chat about it! If you swipe left in the photos, you’ll see the TICKS acronym with the definition!

I baby-wear often in my doula role and post photos, so today I thought we should talk about safe baby wearing! When purchasing a wrap or soft structured carrier, you want to make sure that your baby will be safe from positional asphyxiation and have proper hip placement. TICKS is a fantastic guideline when wearing your baby on your front!

T- tight
I- In view
C- close enough to kiss
K- keep chin off chest
S- supported back

Whenever I get a new carrier that I may not be familiar with, I test them out with one of my daughter’s dolls until I feel comfortable putting a real baby in it. Often times I see new parents wearing babies very low or tilted to the side; both are dangerous but especially for newborns. If you aren’t sure about using your new wrap, reach out to your local doula/mom community. There are many groups who help with baby wearing and allow you to try carriers on to see if the fit is right!

As usual, I’m happy to answer questions in the comments, DM’s or via email 😊
