Getting dressed and showing up is 90% of the workout.

We all know that once we’re there—in the studio, on the mat, at the gym—we give it our all.

But getting out of our own way? That’s the real challenge.

Today I felt the resistance.
NEW studio. NEW people. NEW class. Some nerves.
But I showed up anyway.

At the end of my yoga class, I reached for a block—and carved into it were the words:
“practice on.”

A quiet little reminder that growth isn’t about perfection. It’s about showing up, over and over again. Even when it’s hard. ESPECIALLY when it’s hard.

So here’s your nudge: whatever it is you’re working on—your health, your healing, your habits—

🌿✨ Today, I took a little break from the hustle and headed to the garden center — and it was exactly what my nervous system needed. There’s something so calming about being surrounded by green, fresh air, and new life.

I came home with a beautiful mandarin tree to add to my patio, and honestly, just the act of choosing it and imagining it thriving brought me such peace.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed or out of sync, I encourage you to find those simple activities that feel good and help your nervous system reset. Maybe it’s gardening, a walk in nature, gentle yoga, or even just sitting quietly with a cup of tea.

Your body and mind will thank you. 💚

🌟 Try Something New! 🌟
Today I played pickleball for the very first time — and I loved it! 🏓💥

We got out as a family, laughed a ton, and moved our bodies in a whole new way. It reminded me how energizing (and humbling 😅) it can be to try something outside your comfort zone.

As a health coach, I’m always encouraging others to explore movement that feels fun and sustainable — and today was a great reminder to take my own advice.

✨ You don’t have to be perfect. You just have to be willing to show up and play.

✨ What you do consistently matters more than what you do perfectly.

Here’s the truth I share with every client:
➡️ Add protein to your breakfast = more energy + fewer cravings.
➡️ Get outside for 5 minutes = nervous system reset.
➡️ Go to bed 30 mins earlier = better mood + metabolism.
➡️ Drink water before coffee = steadier focus.

I just completed a 6-month certification through The Integrative Women’s Health Institute in Perimenopause & Menopause support—and I’m beyond excited to bring this expertise to YOU.

WHAT.A.WEEK!!

Is there some sort of astrological thing happening or moons out of alignment? If so, please tell me because this has been A WEEK! It seems to be affecting everyone around me too, in all my circles- friends, family, and almost ALL of my clients! Crazy, right??

Anyway, I was at my limit of unrest so I decided to take my FAVORITE dance class today (ya know, the one where I shake my b***y and sweat my ass off thanks to .allofme) and knew I had to make a nourishing meal to keep my physical and mental reset going.

I’ve posted this meal before but it’s quick, easy, and packs a lot of protein and fiber.

Hello Tofu Scramble! ☀️

Here’s whatcha do:
* chop up a bunch of veggies that you have in the fridge and sauté in olive oil, salt and pepper and remove
* drain your tofu block, and over medium high heat, heat olive oil crumble that tofu right into the pan
* add 2 Tbsp nutritional yeast, 1/4 tsp garlic powder, 1/4 tsp turmeric, salt, pepper and 2.5 Tbsp alternative milk (I used unsweetened almond)
* mix that puppy up, plate, and serve! 👩🏻‍🍳

I eat half now and keep the other half for my lunch tomorrow - YAY for leftovers!

While many think metabolism slows as we age, recent research published in Science Journal in 2021 by Dr. Herman Pontzer shows that our metabolic rate remains fairly stable from ages 20 to 60. 🌱

So what’s really changing as we get older?

Muscle Mass: As we age, we tend to lose muscle mass, and muscle burns more calories than fat. Less muscle = potentially lower calorie burn. 💪🏻

Hormonal Shifts: Hormones like thyroid and insulin can shift, making it easier to gain weight, even if your metabolism is staying the same. 🧠

Less Physical Activity: As we get older, we might move less, which means fewer calories burned through daily activity.

Metabolism may not be slowing down as you age, but these other factors can still affect how you burn energy. Strength training and staying active can help you keep your metabolism—and body—working strong! 🔥

Do yourself a favor and MAKE THIS SALAD NOW! 🥗

Winter Spa Salad with Lemon Chicken from

Even the little humans in my house devoured this!

Mixed greens, Cara Cara oranges, chickpeas, pomegranate arils, avocado, shallot and lemon chicken. I also added roasted butternut squash because, yum! And the DRESSING. People. It was creamy and delicious.

But there is one warning…

Double the recipe or you’ll be mad that you don’t have leftovers for lunch the next day. You’re welcome.

Post about *TRYING NEW THINGS* ✨⭐️

Here I am, taking my first swings ever with a golf club. I know? Shocking, right? I had no idea how to even hold a club but I was excited to give it a shot (maybe pun intended??).

I am a firm believer in trying new things. It can feel scary but that’s where the magic happens! Whether it’s taking up a new hobby, learning a new skill, trying a new cuisine, or saying yes to a spontaneous adventure, we never know what challenge and joy awaits just beyond our comfort zone.

Growth happens when we challenge ourselves!

Why? Because each time we try something new, we are training our brains to create new neural pathways, enhancing our ability to think creatively and adapt to new information. It also allows our brain to release dopamine, which leads to good feelings. AND it boosts confidence and self-efficacy.

Was I ready to take my skills to the golf course after 2 hours? Nope. But I sure had a lot of fun trying AND as you can see in the second pic, I celebrated when I tried my best. ⛳️
