Covid is still definitely real so everyone be vigilant and do what works for your home. Sorry for this inconvenience today but out of abundance of caution it’s best that we take a day to re-organize so the ladies can function this week and I can quarantine. We have great menu for y’all this week with some awesome permanent additions to our short order offerings. Blessings to y’all -have a great productive week! This is what okra looks like when Creole folk cook it.
You can’t just throw a can of tomato in something and call it a “Creole dish! Please stop - y’all upsetting my ansectors. Creole food takes time and a lot of love. Okra was first introduced to Louisiana through African slaves. Often times slaves were given the root vegetables and basically the trash from the fields.. like mustard and turnip greens. Just like that, slaves turned them from struggle to delicacy. Okra came from the motherland and is widely used today. But ain’t nothing like a pot of Louisiana Creole smothered okra with chicken sausage turkey necks and tomato.

Our short order menu is making a come back.
I canceled short order options for a while bc we were burning way too much fuel for the volume of short orders. ($1000 a month in propane to keep the grill and fryers running all day— yea how about NO!) we’ve downsized equipment and reorganized and we’re ready to roll out a new improved short order menu. We will start tomorrow with the items listed below. We will drop nachos, salads, seafood and poboys later in the week.

TGIF!!! please see today’s menu ⬇️
Please note, we had to make a few menu changes due to the power outage on Wednesday.
This prevented us from making/smoking sausage and Tasso. We will definitely have lasagna and our pork and smoked meat gravy on the menu next week. Also no fried pork chops or sausage gravy today because we don’t have enough sausage for red beans as an entree.
Sorry for the inconvenience- we will make up for it next week, no doubt. Blessings y’all

Tomorrow’s menu is straight country!
Due to an unforeseen closure related to power outage today, we’ve had to adjust the menu.
No worries we will definitely have oxtail as usual on Thursday and will also have our liver and onions and okra that were supposed to be prepared today.
This will be a heavy day - call ins are suggested
