We are thankful.

"Since joining the Alliance for Multispecialty Research in mid-September, I have been warmly welcomed into a community of professionals who are not just experts in their fields but are also deeply committed to advancing clinical research. This Thanksgiving, I am especially grateful for the opportunity to grow and learn in such a dynamic environment. The enthusiasm and dedication of our sponsors, volunteers, and colleagues have been inspiring. As a Clinical Research Coordinator and Site Manager, I am excited to contribute to AMR's mission and be a part of a network making a significant impact in healthcare research. On a personal note... This Thanksgiving, I reflect on the many blessings in my life. I am thankful for the unwavering support of my family and friends, who have been my strength through this new chapter in my career. Their encouragement has been a critical factor in my smooth transition into AMR and in adapting to the exciting challenges of my role. I am also grateful for the moments of joy and relaxation that balance my professional life, reminding me of the importance of maintaining a healthy work-life balance." - Sally Alkhayat

We are thankful.

"Sometimes it’s hard to find the right words to describe what ‘the job’ or AMR means to me. I am most thankful for the team here in Lexington. They are some of the most motivated, dedicated, smart, loyal, dependable, hard-working, fun-loving, capable people you will ever meet. I am also very thankful for the mentoring I have received from numerous co-workers and the leadership here at AMR Lexington throughout the years. I am so grateful.” - Kara Smith, AMR Site Manager

"I am thankful to be part of a great company that is making a difference in patients' lives and health care in general through clinical research. It is an honor to lead AMR’s BD team and to be part of the conversation with our clients, big and small, on how we can best work together to bring novel, new therapies to the market." - Jesse Hoffman, AMR Chief Business Officer

We are thankful.

"Professionally, I am truly grateful for the opportunity to be on the cutting edge of medicine in clinical research. The ability to contribute to advancements in healthcare and potentially make a positive impact on the lives of individuals is a privilege. And to do so alongside a team of amazing folks at AMR is an incredible honor...... Personally, I am profoundly thankful for the abundance of blessings in my life. For the experiences that have shaped my journey and provided me with opportunities for growth and learning and enriched my existence. For the love and support of family. For the tapestry of friendships. For the beauty and diversity of this world."

“I can’t clean up the water. I can’t come up with, you know, fantastic new medicine. I’m not great with science. But maybe the people who do all the important things…. When they come home, I can give them like an hour and a half to just forget that all and maybe laugh or get lost in some different kind of story. I kind of take that like… that’s my purpose.” ~ Melissa McCarthy interviewed on NBC News / Today Show

On Saturday, May 20, we celebrate Clinical Trials Day! But every day, we celebrate clinical research. We commit to clinical research. Because we know that together, we can. Change lives. Improve our communities. Create a healthy community.

The full potential of clinical research to change lives can only be unlocked when we all work together, embrace each other’s perspectives, and are invested in shared goals. This is when true and meaningful progress is made. This is when new breakthroughs occur. This is when we literally change the world. On this Clinical Trials Day, let’s gather in this spirit of togetherness to celebrate all we’ve accomplished and recommit ourselves to push even further. Because together we can.

Help us celebrate! Please like, share and comment on our photos. And enjoy upcoming videos from AMR team members who have a special place in clinical research.

May is Brain Tumor Awareness Month, a time dedicated to supporting, empowering, and amplifying the voice of the brain tumor community. According to NBTS, this awareness month is also called Gray May because "the brain tumor experience is full of extraordinary challenges and extraordinary hope. The gray area that falls in between is what drives us, unrelentingly, toward our mission of conquering and curing brain tumors — once and for all." Thank you to AMR Regional Recruitment Manager, Jeanne White Baach, who spoke this weekend at the Alzheimer's Tennessee Walk to Make Alzheimer's A Memory! Thank you also to all of you who stopped to visit our booth and learn more about clinical research and how we strive to help end Alzheimer's and other diseases and illnesses that devastate families and take away our loved ones.

Outreach, Kindness & Compassion In Action: Dr. Richard Egelhof is the real deal! We are glad he is part of the AMR team! So many of our investigators do more than private practice and clinical research. They go into their communities to make a difference beyond their daily duties and commitment to clinical research.

Meet Jaliya, AMR Study Launch Manager - discussing diversity in all facets of life...

"Diversity can look like a lot of different things; men in nursing, women in business, black students at most universities, the list goes on. Attending a Predominately White Institution (PWI) as a Black student is my most diverse experience. I didn’t have many people that looked like me in my classes, which triggered self-doubt on whether I was supposed to be there. No one personally did anything to me, but the experience of being a minority, contributing to diversity, is hard."

At AMR, we strive to create a welcome, accepting environment in support and celebration of diversity, equity and inclusion. Diversity in clinical research matters to Jaliya and to her AMR team for many reasons.....

"It is our duty to encourage diversity in clinical trials. Factors of race, ethnicity, age, and s*x have the ability to influence how individuals respond to different medicines and vaccines. It is time to acknowledge that being diverse is a unique experience for each person. The development of these products requires more than a one size fits all approach."
