NYC šŸ—½ you certainly have a piece of my heart ā¤ļø. Wicked. The Book of Mormon. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, we saw 3 shows in 3 evenings, each amazing, but I’m not sure anything compared to the food 🤤.

Yesterday’s highlights included the most amazing Sichuan meal, Champagne and Chocolate Bar, and the best gin Martini I’ve ever had from the birth place of the original American style gin Martini.

Heading home today āœˆļø, farewell for now, but we’ll be seeing you again really soon. Mallory Lopez time to plan a trip šŸ˜‰.

We slept in today; I’ve not been feeling great - some joint flairs and general autoimmune inflammation, no GLP-1’s for a week so definitely noticing a difference in terms of swelling and pain ; then we checked out this phenomenal Thai restaurant. When I say phenomenal I mean ma and pop, family affair, small, downstairs of a home - that has a Michelin Star and incredible… INCREDIBLE food. Home grown and run for the win šŸ˜. Next? A slow stroll towards WICKED on Broadway… šŸŽ. So excited I could/will cry.

A day of extreme sadness and wonder. The 911 Memorial and museum kicks my guts in every time, as it should - so grateful for the survivors, for humanity, for history preservation; I learn and appreciate more every time. The New York Public Library, inner linguistics nerd šŸ¤“ and its history… helped me move on for the deeply felt heaviness of such a beautiful memorial. Along with lunch at Eatly, Rockefeller Center, and The Plaza Champagne Bar.

**Alma Hybrid CO2 Laser Treatment Day 6 Update***

I almost forgot to post! So, still noticing the grid pattern, still peeling, but the peel is different than a chemical peel, more ā€œpillā€ like - similar to what happens with friction wearing delicate fabrics like cashmere.

I’ve had some micro-break outs that are soft and easily rupture between 2 q-tips, that resolve quickly! Over all even with the resolving redness I can tell my skin tone is more even, my pores are barely visible and when the grid pattern heals šŸ˜šŸ˜ I can’t wait!!!

Fine lines and wrinkles, even my marionette lines are SO MUCH softer! WOW! 🤩 I’m in lOoOooOoVe!

**Alma Hybrid CO2 Laser Update: Day 5**

Day 5 post-Alma laser, and I want to share an honest progress report. Today, I ventured outside—hat and sunscreen on—but the combination of heat and sun exposure caused a few scabs to open and bleed a bit. This isn’t unusual with the nature of the treatment, which intentionally creates controlled injury to encourage skin renewal.

I’m still seeing some redness and a visible grid pattern, both expected at this stage. The good news: there’s no pain, and overall, healing is progressing well. Most patients (myself included) can expect to be fully healed between days 7 and 10.

**If you’re considering laser treatment, here’s what to know:**
- Even with protection, your skin remains sensitive to heat and sun for several days post-procedure.
- Minor bleeding or scabbing can happen—this is part of the healing process.
- Redness and grid marks are normal and temporary.
- Most people are fully healed within 7–10 days.

I’ll continue to share updates and tips on protecting your skin during recovery. If you have questions about the process or want to learn more about what to expect, feel free to reach out.

Stay tuned for more updates as healing continues.

- Redness is gradually fading
- Skin feels tighter and a bit dry
- Some mild flaking as new, healthy skin emerges

- Staying hydrated and moisturizing regularly lots and lots of moisturizer

**Day 3 Post-Procedure Update: Alma Hybrid Experience**

Day 3 after my Alma hybrid resurfacing treatment, and I want to share a transparent update for anyone considering this type of skin rejuvenation.

**What I’m Experiencing:**
- Noticeable redness and a ā€œgrid-likeā€ pattern remain across my face, which is completely expected at this stage.
- Mild swelling and tenderness are present, especially under the eyes and around sensitive areas.
- My skin feels tight and dry, but there’s no significant discomfort—just a sensation similar to a sunburn.
- I’m following a gentle cleansing routine and using only the recommended post-procedure products to support healing.

**What’s Normal at This Stage:**
- Redness, swelling, and visible marks from the laser are all part of the process.
- Skin may begin to flake or peel in the coming days as new, healthy cells replace the old.
- It’s important to avoid sun exposure and keep the skin well-moisturized.

**Why I Chose This Treatment:**
We believe in sharing real, unfiltered experiences to help others make informed decisions. My goal is to improve skin texture, boost collagen, and address areas of concern—all while prioritizing safety and gradual, sustainable results.

**Support and Guidance:**
If you’re curious about Alma hybrid or any other skin wellness treatments, I’m here to answer questions and guide you through what to expect before, during, and after your procedure. Healing is a process, and every step is important!

Stay tuned for more updates as my recovery continues. If you have questions about post-procedure care or want to learn more about our holistic approach, please reach out anytime.

**Alma Hybrid Laser: 48-Hour Update**

Curious about what to expect after Alma Hybrid laser treatment? Here’s my real 48-hour post-treatment update—unfiltered and honest.

**What’s Normal at 48 Hours:**
• Redness and a visible ā€œdotā€ or grid pattern—signs of collagen-boosting micro-injuries
• Mild swelling, especially around the eyes and lips
• Skin may feel tight, dry, or a bit rough
• Some darkening or bronzing as healing begins

**How I’m Caring for My Skin:**
• Using gentle, hydrating moisturizer frequently
• Cleansing with a mild, non-foaming cleanser—no scrubbing
• Avoiding sun exposure and applying SPF 30+ if I go outside
• No makeup yet—letting my skin breathe
• Absolutely no picking or scratching

**Why This Matters:**
These changes are part of the natural renewal process. With proper aftercare, most patients see brighter, smoother skin within 7–10 days.

**When to Reach Out:**
Redness, swelling, and mild discomfort are normal. If you notice severe pain, extensive swelling, contact your provider right away.

Every healing journey is unique. If you have questions, I’m here to support you!

**Why Would Anyone Want Their Face to Be Swollen? Let’s Talk About Laser Skin Tightening and the Healing Power of Inflammation**

If you’ve ever seen someone after a laser treatment—like the Alma Hybrid CO2 and 1560 laser—you might notice their face looks a little swollen. It’s a common question: **Why would anyone want that?**

Here’s what’s really happening:

- **Swelling is a Sign of Healing:** After a laser treatment, your body’s natural response is to send extra blood flow and immune support to the area. This temporary inflammation is your body’s way of kickstarting the repair process.
- **Collagen Production:** The controlled injury from the laser stimulates your skin to produce new collagen—the protein that keeps skin firm and youthful. Inflammation plays a crucial role in this process by signaling your body to rebuild and strengthen the skin structure.
- **Tightening and Lifting:** As the swelling subsides, you’re left with skin that’s tighter, smoother, and more resilient. The short-term puffiness is a small step on the way to long-term results.
- **Safe, Supervised Care:** At Injectables Artist, all treatments are carefully monitored by licensed professionals to ensure your safety and comfort every step of the way.

**Bottom line:** That post-treatment swelling is a positive sign that your skin is working hard to repair and renew itself. It’s a temporary phase that leads to firmer, healthier skin over time.
