Honestly, cardio is not something I've ever enjoyed lol. As I've gotten older and have created healthier habits, I find myself sprinting (on the tread mill or TO the neighborhood gym) to start my workout and sometimes in between lifting weights just to work on my heart health and endurance, and let's not forget the good chemical dump! Release the endorphins!!

Increasing your heart rate and keeping it elevated uses energy stored in your body as fat..so if you're wanting to burn fat a little longer after lifting weights, try adding jumping rope or short sprints in between sets to increase the amount of oxygen your body needs, which will assist in burning extra calories and leading to weight loss.

Instead of starting on a THURSDAY!!...
I’ve been working on our next group stuff and it dawned on me how much easier it would be for EVERYBODY if it was the FIRST MONDAY of every month instead of starting on the first 😂✊🏼

So that’s the plan, Stan 😁

Starting NEXT MONDAY!

April 5th will kick off our second STRONG challenge.
This challenge will start with the very basics—so if you’re a noob, come join! If you know a noob who wants to be apart of a healthy movement, tag them!
We’ll be focusing on STABILIZING your body through movement. This challenge is a bit different than the last, and I’m looking for feedback as we progress every month in different challenges.

Tell me what you want to get out of your personal trainer. I’ve seen a lot of trainers with cookie cutter workouts and boring meal plans 😑 and that doesn’t sound very appealing to me 👀 but let me hear it from you!
The next challenge group is fast approaching and I’d love to know what YOU are looking to get out of it!
It won’t be 7 days long..most of us DONT workout 7 days a week 😂 because, ya know, life 😅
But there will be a focus on stabilization for those beginners looking to start forming healthy habits. Without working on our balance and posture, we assume the risk of injury and muscle dysfunction, along with overworking areas of our bodies that need a little extra patience..and that tends to lead to people giving up before they really even get started!
Let’s do it right and take it slow. Let’s build up our core strength and stabilization so that our body composition starts to tighten up and burn extra fat.

Getting ready for our next Strong Challenge! 💪🏼 April 1st is fast approaching!

This challenge will be different..
NASM’s OPT model is based on the scientific rationale of human movement science. The goal in this next challenge will be to increase our stabilization, the first phase in training from a beginner level.

If you’ve been waiting for a group that isn’t hardcore and at expert level, comment “me” below.

Joining fitness groups on FB can be intimidating sometimes, and often people make excuses about the amount of time they have..but if you don’t have 30-60 minutes to work on your health a couple days a week, what do you think your health will be like in 5-10 years from now? If you’re already suffering, would having a support group for beginners to work on training in phases be beneficial to you?

Looking for people who want a change, who want to feel better in their body. Looking for people that are uncomfortable with the weight they’ve gained over the last year of chaos. I want to help you love yourself.
