Mindful Growth Unlimited I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Registered Yoga Teacher. I believe we spend a lot of time living in the past or future, not being in the present.

I’m here to support your journey to be more present.

You spend so much time caring for everyone else. You deserve the same care. What is one thing you can do for the next half hour just for you?

Part of nourishing yourself is letting go of things that are outside your control. In our control: our thoughts, words and actions. Everything else is outside our control. However, when we’re anxious, we’re trying to manage that by control. If they say x I’ll respond with y. But that keeps our brain in fight or flight. Instead, notice what’s in your control and try to understand those things. You can control how you regulate your emotions sometimes simply by identifying them. And then moving onto something you do have control over, by maybe reading or baking or phoning a friend.

The title of this class was “Enough.” So often we’re made to believe we need to do more, be more, more more, more. Maybe instead of more, the most nourishing thing we can do for ourselves is just be enough. Taking time to connect to your breath is enough. Moving your body is enough. Looking for your glimmer and giving gratitude is enough. YOU ARE ENOUGH wholly and exactly who you are right in this moment.

What is one of your wellness rituals. Is it diffusing oils? Making tea? Taking a bath? Journaling? What is one thing you do to bring your brain to the present moment? To fill your cup? To nourish you?

Anxiety lives in the future and the past. So being in the present is one way to regulate your feelings. Being in the present, whatever that present looks like, is a practice. And each time you work to pull yourself into the present moment, you’re strengthening that practice. Those small steps are a start. You deserve that start.

Who are you surrounding yourself with? Are they people that you spend time with and leave you feeling drained? Are they people that want to be near your success but don’t sit with you in struggles? Or are they people that light you up and have you feeling like you’re walking on sunshine. People that cheer you on in failure and success. THOSE are people that fill your cup and nourish your wellbeing. THOSE are the people you need to spend some intentional time with.

This seated spinal twist improves posture, stimulates the digestive tract, and offers a deep, cleansing stretch. Seated twist helps increase flexibility in your spine, chest, and shoulders. It also stretches your knees, ankles, and hips. Twisting also just feels good and can be done anywhere: seated at work, standing in line at the grocery store, at home. Give it a try!!

Today’s blend features Bergamot! Bergamot of a go to essential oil, especially in the winter, because it helps improve mood. The aroma is known to be uplifting, stimulating the release of dopamine and serotonin, those feel good chemicals that help us feel good!!

Bergamot is also supportive in reducing stress. Its calming effect on the nervous system has been shown to lower cortisol levels (the “fight or flight” hormone).

Today’s blend includes bergamot, grapefruit, lime and sandalwood.

Our yoga classes are all levels so we can specialize to your needs!! We offer options in each pose and focus more on how the poses feel@for your body than how the poses look. We’re not trying to look picture perfect! We’re trying to reconnect our body and mind with our breath.
